I think it’s important to note that the Felt is scadrian and is arguably to be one of the first ghostbloods Kelsier recruited, at least out of the ones we’ve seen. Plus even though Felt wouldn’t have interacted with Kelsier before the end of final empire, he would have at least known of him pretty well before he met him as a cognitive shadow. In short, it makes a lot of sense why Felt would show more reverence to Kelsier himself. Plus if felt has close feelings to his homeland the protect scadrial objective would resonate with him.

My thoughts exactly. Iyatil is southern scadrian but only in heritage not by birth/residence. There's definitely some level of factionalism or inner circle Vs outer circle thing going on.

Don't forget in ROW, a huge faction of honor spren at thr trial were shouting "Honor isn't dead so long as he lives in the heart of men." It is definitely more than just a "bless you." Notum was dragged out of the courthouse yelling this (I think....).

I haven't watched your previous episode so I will leave this here: I wouldn't be surprised if Autonomy is starting to pull some strings here or at least trying to. The whole spiel by the Azimir oathgate spren about being neither Honor nor Odium but being "free" feels like Autonomy's Modus Operandi. Because the Spren never confirmed it was Sja-Anat who did this, Shallan simply assumed it. And there were guards posted to watch for something like this, if they didn't seem to notice anything. If Sja-Anat popped up they would, but if it was Autonomy in the spiritual realm manipulating investiture they wouldn't be able to tell. Also. Just like the Oathgate are made of spren that have been bound to this task, the soulcasters also consist spren that have been bound. What if the spren of the soulcasters also rebel? A lot of food, raw materials etc are made using soulcasters. There would be chaos everywhere if they stopped working or didn't work as intended just like the oathgate.
@SilverlightGuidetotheCosmere4 ай бұрын
It could also be some sort of influence of Ambition through Sja-Anat. There's a WOB about Sja-Anat being tied to Ambition in some way. I'm not sure Autonomy would go after a system where Odium is (yet), as they seem to potentially be in cahoots with each other. I think Occam's razor lets it reliably be Sja-Anat, though if your hot take here is right I'm going to shout you out in our review. Good point about the soulcasters! I wonder if those spren are aware enough to become changed by Sja-Anat, or if choice has to be a part of it.
@Haxerous4 ай бұрын
@@SilverlightGuidetotheCosmere well I wasn't exactly saying that Sja-Anat is connected or working with Autonomy. But yeah the Ambition thing is certainly interesting considering the Shard being splintered. But I think Autonomy becoming active is plausible if she had seeds/spies planted there in the past which she is using now that Odium's Vessel has changed. The soulcaster spren are said to have their eyes closed in Shadesmar. Not sure what that exactly means or how conscious they are. But I don't think they would give up their minds completely when they are meant to be creatures of the cognitive realm. And even a Dead-eye spren has some level of awareness.
@SilverlightGuidetotheCosmere4 ай бұрын
@@Haxerous I think Autonomy is definitely plausible, I personally think Sanderson wouldn't choose to have them interfere just yet given Mistborn Era 2 Scadrial being Autonomy's focus in some ways. Still, you make a valid point that it wasn't specifically stated by the spren or anyone if Sja-Anat was the reason they changed. Your points on the soulcaster spren have merit, I'm curious to see if Sanderson will use that issue either in this book or the back half.
@Haxerous4 ай бұрын
@@SilverlightGuidetotheCosmere yeah I guess the Era 2 reason makes sense from a writing standpoint especially since Era 2 happens sometimes between Stormlight 5 & 6 in the cosmere timeline. It would be a lot I agree. Nonetheless I think Autonomy has to show up at some point in Stormlight because of the set up in the Ishikk interlude from WoK. The idea of the Purelakers worshipping a secret god and stuff sounds very much like the Trell lore on Scadrial. Autonomy has been on Sanderson's mind since Era 1 as he originally planned for Autonomy to show up towards the end of Hero of Ages when Sazed Ascends to Harmony.
@SilverlightGuidetotheCosmere4 ай бұрын
@@Haxerous I forgot about the Purelakers, and if I had to bet, I'd say that will play into 6-10 in a similar way to era 2. Good call all around, I'm impressed with your catch about Sja-Anat and Autonomy.

@Haxerous4 ай бұрын
The future timeline cosmere books suggest that Breaths and awakened objects are quite common so Felt could have just got them by visiting Nalthis or buying them from somewhere in the cognitive realm. I mean if you can get something rare like a Seon off world, Breaths seem relatively easy/cheap to obtain.
@swinkscalibur85064 ай бұрын
Breaths are like crypto, in some ways. Then breeding programs are like bit-farms.
