I listen to a different one of these every night. Just turned it on and I'm sleepy already. This is a good one, my cat is asleep now too. I hope my old man's (58y) bladder will hold out until 4 am at least. It's 23:30 ( 11:30 pm for my fellow American countrymen) now. I remember that I'm a citizen of a multi cultural planet and know not everyone uses the same standard of measurement of time. Sweet dreams everyone. 😴 P.S. my bladder made it to 4:30 am before I had to get up.🥳😴 P.P.S. it worked as advertised.🙂

Oh fuck this brought me back to my very first overnight summer camp. I remember lying in my bunk in our cabin, and looking out the screen window (which wasn’t rlly protected so idk how I didn’t get drenched but whatever) and being happy I could still hear and see the storm. Storms bring mostly comfort to me (but house shaking thunder aughta scare anyone) and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to watch them at camp. This wind is howling, misty drops sprinkle on my face, perched as close to the window as I can manage. I see the electricity light up the sky with an almighty rumbling as its encore. My cabin mates are seemingly sleeping peacefully, but I can’t rest, my mind abuzz with the rain, thoughts falling rapidly through my head like the rain outside. Eventually I will of course grow a little irritated and tired, knowing curfew is already in effect and I need rest, but for the moment all is calm. One may not think a raging storm outside my window is calming, but to me, who has never been able to sit still all my life, it is a balm. I revel in the buzz of noises that drown out my hyperactive mind, soothe the need for my hands to flit around constantly. I revel in the consuming static of an ambitious ambience that sings to my soul.

I like this but I honestly am looking for a long time loop of only violently loud lighting with super basey thunder that will when going through a powered sub shake the house a bit just with no rain since simulating rain sometimes just makes it sound wrong I'd rather just have the lightning and thunder that's what puts me to sleep

Yep it`s annoying, KZbin have changed settings. I had them all set for ads before it starts, none during or after. Every time I go in to change it, within a few hours they are back again! Edit: I found another setting, hopefully this is now fixed. Sorry about that, there`s nothing worse than ads during a video like this.

It wasn’t for me, I tried it and initially all was perfect. However, it’s obviously on a fairly short loop, because the sounds go quieter for a short while and then a roll of thunder. Brain / ears picked up on this pattern fairly quickly which resulted in me listening out for this which defeated the whole reason for listening for me (sleep to drown the sound of the baby screaming in the flat above mine) and for this reason, it wouldn’t work as a meditation tool either 👎However the black screen was excellent 👍. Sorry I won’t be using this any time soon even thought I loved the black screen 😥☮️. To be fair I think that I am hypersensitive to sounds and I have a history of strokes, so this might make me ‘over picky’ and it might be perfect for others. Ps I didn’t like or dislike.

This isn't looped, it`s multiple recordings done over several years and put together and layered as one, has to be, especially in the UK, very rare we can any decent storms so have to record over time. Each section is then EQ`d to match each other. The trouble is with wind and rain it can all sound the same, even thunder can. You have find what works for you, there are plenty on KZbin, so not stuck for choice :-)

There is no badly tuned radio station in the video, but it does have wind blowing and rain and is slightly more aggressive than my other video kzbin.info/www/bejne/iaGon6ilpJWZZ9U different people require different things and have different hearing ranges, maybe this one isn't for you :-)
