Awesome word. God used this scripture to encourage me when proposing to my wife. I had a million fears and Living bible translation says "if you wait for perfect conditions you will never get anything done". That was a super trust building moment I have gone back to several times in my walk with God. The promptings of the Holy Spirit can be trusted and not my feelings or circumstances. The crazy part was my mother committed suicide when I was younger and my wife also has bi polar so that was part of the struggle. 17 years later I never wonder if I made a mistake. I am truly blessed and amazed how awesome our marriage is. Thanks Pastor Steven

Elevation Church I’m shifting my focus by going to work even if I’m sick with sinuses and allergies. Part of me, well most of me wants to stay home in bed sleeping. But I know that I have to complete my commitment to show up to work to work the shift I signed up for. So God is helping me get up, make myself soup, take my medicine, and get ready for work. God is helping me fight the wind.

Ecclesiastes 11:4 NIV Minds are in opposition with our spirit Your heart gives a verdict If you look for a reason not to sow, you will always find one (reason not to sow) Not hard to find a reason to complain It was the forecast that created fear for something that didn't even come The suggestion of a disaster is enough to send us into retreat Even if the storm is over it still can rage on inside you Fire the devil, from being your weather man To do things for vanity is like chasing after the wind (compares it to win b/c it's an invisible force) You might have to go against your feelings in order to get free Consulting the forecast before keeping commitment Watching the wind is wishing you had a different life Do you trust God's timing God likes to bless people in/at a bad time Don't watch the weather! Consult your faith instead of the forecast Matthew 14:24-32 The wind was against the boat If you watch the wind you'll never set out The challenge is trusting God in uncertainty Peter wasn't really walking on the water, he was walking on the WORD Jesus didn't stop the wind he gave the WORD Peter went down because he started watching the wind instead of the WORD God is an ever present help on times of trouble The one that wins is the one that you're focused on Your faith will slip when you start focusing on your feelings Thank you for reading, if you wouldn't mind I appreciate those who subscribe to my small Christian channel I'm working on a worship song lyrics video

I was so close to dropping out of my studies for my Bachelors degree in Law.. then I saw this sermon. This is the second sermon that I have watched from yourself and I only found your channel a few days ago. I have since booked back onto my degree and even though I have three kids and a full time job and I know that it is going to be hard, I know that as long as I keep my eyes on the Lord and not thinking of everything that could go wrong, I will get this degree done. Four weeks ago, my husband's car was stolen, 3 days ago we got him a replacement vehicle, two days ago a drunk driver, our neighbor hit my parked vehicle, that and the insurance will give me a check for the right amount for my replacement vehicle, He will take care of our needs, our finances, and He's bigger than our ok credit. But most of all, my husband and I prayed for mercies and graces all over the places when the cops cuffed him. God is working, He is moving all over this land because we believe. His eye is on us. Im thankful every day that every time i failed and i drew close to god, he gave me a piece. And failed, then drew close to him and got s piece and i thanked god everyday for my health. Then the devil attacked and now i have conditions i was born with appeared and i failed BUT GOD...... After failing even worse than ever and realizing that i needed to turn from my sin.... God is good. Today is my birthday. I had to quit my job about 3 weeks ago, I don’t have the amount of money I would like to have in my bank, my bills are coming up, Christmas is around the corner, and to top it all, it’s my 4th day fighting a nasty flu. I was awaken at 2:30am by THE WIND. I laid in bed thinking about what is next for me! I felt anxiety and depression. And though it may not sound like I am going through a lot, it is certainly a storm for me. I had a decent paid job, I had plans for myself and my family, but I did not expect a storm. Not being able to sleep, I literally opened KZbin to watch a video that would either give me a good laugh to temporarily forget about the anxiety or something boring enough to put me back to sleep. But God is good. Although this message was from 2 months ago, i came across it when I needed it the most. It is a great reminder to keep my eye on Jesus although I am walking in the storm.

Unspoken prayer request

I almost drowned twice in my life, and both times God has saved me. There were probably many other bad things that could've happened to me, but the Lord has kept me safe. He's been with me my whole life so far and He's taken me this far, He's never going to give up on me (...For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)). I may be going through a storm right now, but I now know that the Lord is gonna meet me on the other side! I'm going to try and even if I have to take it one step at a time, I'm going to stop living by my feelings and by what my anxiety tells me, and start holding on to God's word and live by faith. God is not a liar, so if He says or promises something, it is most definitely true. Like I said earlier, God said "I will never leave you nor forsake you" and that's a promise. Praise God, He's awesome!! ❤😁⭐ Thank you for this video Elevation Church!! 😁

Life can come to a screeching halt in a moment. I've been there and it is heart wretching. I loss my husband my dog and 11 friend's in less than a year. Then had emergency surgery. Now I'm at a whole new level of life hope faith and no one is alive to call upon and it's up to me to sink or swim . Without the Lord I can't imagine where I'd be today.

You'll never understand what you've done for me. This message saved my life the night I was going to kill myself 2 years ago on new years day. I come back to it every now and again to remember what God did for me that night. Everytime I watch one of your videos it's just so spot on with what I'm dealing with it's scary. I remember one time specifically I was struggling with money. I wanted to make an album called Pursuit of happiness about finding god. And I kept wrestling back and forth with being lazy not wanting to start writing. I said to myself when I get the money to record and put it out I'll start writing it. No need to start now. I then opened one of your videos and you said "write your bars before your battle". I started writing. That day I wrote the best songs I've ever written. It truly felt as if gods words were flowing through me. You are truly blessed by God. I'll never be able to express how grateful I am for you. You saved me.

For the past year,I have watched the wind.I’ve graduated last year,applied to uni 2 times,got denied both times.I will try again in january,but it has been hard to know if God is calling me to keep going or he is telling me to stop.I knew in my heart that for the past 4 years i could not imagine me studying anything other than psychology,but it got very hard when this year i found out that nobody believes,not even my family that i can do it.I gave in and started questioning everything,my ability and purpose,but i won’t do that again.Thank you Pastor Furtick for reminding me of trusting my Father’s timeline!He is never late💕

tulip power. Wow this so powerful. I can relate in someway. All the odds seemed against me pursuing a career in medicine. But I went ahead to chase after my dream which I knew God put in my heart. I’ve been in China for almost 5 years now studying medicine and I’m faced with a very tough decision where the wind is so overwhelming and louder(people’s opinions of what’s best in the season of my life) than God’s voice.

This is my situation rn. Exactly the same. The only difference is I wanna study neuroscience. This was my only dream I have for myself, I really don't know what will I do if it doesn't happen. I had four different pastors prophesied about my academics for the past 2 years. I graduated on 2018. I got rejected 2 times. Rejections are so painful. And I have been fighting my depression now. I got the word of God. I think I should walk on his word and not to watch the wind. You should do the same. He's faithful enough to keep his word. If anything good happens in your life, please don't forget to share your testimony..

Pastor Steven, God has used you over and over to get me through this storm. The winds blow and the waves roar, but I'm standing still, with my eyes focused on Him. Im facing deportation after 30 years of living in this country, and doing everything humanly possible to stay here. My father who brought me as a 9 year old child and abused me is now a United States citizen and my mother a legal resident. I have no criminal record, I'm married to a citizen, and have no family abroad. Im a Sunday School teacher, I have faced all kinds of storms in my lifetime, infertility for almost 20 years, chronic pain for 25 years, came extremely close to dying this past February from severe pneumonia, have gone through sexual abuse as a child and then rape as an adult, have been physically abused many times in my life and couldn't report it because of fear and threats against my status. Sometimes I wonder how I've gone through it all....and then I look up and find my answer. You are right. I keep telling myself that I must be very important to God's plan. You said that in a service. I know God has a great plan for me, and it's on his time. I keep telling myself The greater the storm, the greater the miracle. I have to trust on His word. I listen to your services every day and I pray and pray and pray, and take notes, and keep on praying. I pray for God's peace and to accept His will when life gets so hard. My dream is to one day fill our home with foster children and teach them the Word. It will be called "Josiah's 2nd Home". I've already had experience volunteering at a foster care and God has shown me this is my calling over and over again. I will not let the devil stop me. My God is stronger. Whether it happens here or somewhere else, I ask that you pray for my family and I. I have a 14-year-old stepson that I just cannot separate from his father. It's choices that God-forbid I would have to make. That is the biggest burden right now in my heart and I'm trusting God with it. I trust God's timing, and I know the power of prayer. Nothing is impossible for our God. Please pray for us. Please.

Day 104 ! Weather/Wind is meant to be checked not watched. Trusting God means trusting His timings too. Sometimes the feeling we have when we make a commitment will vary when we have to keep the commitment. That's why faith and feelings cannot go together. Listening to the sermon over and over again for comfort. Waiting for test results for my husband is not an easy thing when cancer is a possibility. But I cannot be watching the wind, I have to focus on God's mercy and healing. I have to remember that anything is possible with him no matter how bad the results will appear to be.
