Transition is hard. You are going to have to choose to kling to something that is new and uncomfortable. You can not take hold of the new while you have a death grip of the old. New situations with old habits will tear you apart. I needed to hear this. It gave me a new determination. God put me where I am and he knows this is hard. Two years ago Pastor Furtick changed my life with God's word and his sermon on Naming Rights. Call it something different. It was the start of a long transition for me. I have felt trapped and kept seeking God. Yesterday, I was at the church to see him in person, to hear this message. I stayed for both services. I received so much from this sermon. I am grateful that God has used this man to give me his word. Witty, funny, and real! I love what God has done and I am so grateful that even when the transition is painful, he's still there holding my hand like Peter held the hand of this man. "Some people don't want to ENDURE the process...." It's crazy. Before listening to this sermon, earlier in the day God was speaking to me and was saying that I need to endure this season that I'm in. As the sermon started and Steven began to speak my mind started racing because I wanted to remember the one word God gave me this morning. Steven hit every nail on the head about what God was speaking to me JUST this morning. I'm learning that God is always speaking to us trying to answer our questions and concerns and if we can just take the time to spend time with him he unveil beautiful and healing things for our souls!

What you cling to will either separate you from God. Or lead you closer to the calling that He has placed on your life. In transition is where you make this decision. Recently released from prison having been cleansed from pornography with the new freedom there was the greatest temptation to cling to the old habits. And because God gave me a Peter and a John to cling to in the transition. The temptation was overcome by THE NAME AND THE POWER AND THE AUTHORITY that I now have in The Lord Jesus Christ. This message rings with truth and through practical application any who employ it will see victory in their transition.

In early recovery from heroin, cocaine, valium, alcohol addictions... all while nursing a seriously broken heart from a failed relationship and God's really speaking to me thru this word. Iv had small lapses due to my own impatience, not knowing what I'm to do with my life now I'm not using drugs.. but it's clear, I just need to focus on staying physically healthy, keep my sobriety & God WILL bless in his own good time. I'm definitely in transition and sometimes wanna run nevermind walk, while in reality I'm still learning to stand up. Pastor Steven, I only wish I had caught this sermon 5 mths ago. I am so glad to have listened to this today. I am a little over 5mths clean from drugs and alcohol and it's not my first time in recovery. I've somehow lost my faith along the way. I've been really struggling with " the transition ". Every external thing/person is really affecting me. I suffer from mental illness as well, and I feel I have reached my breaking point. I dont want to go back to drugs and I dont want to die. I pray and I pray and I pray for God to make me stronger, but it's only getting worse. So I just want to THANK YOU, for making sense of it all without all the torture of External hindrances. I've worked in restaurants and I would like everyone to stop this popular opinion that waiting tables is a form of charity. They make easily 10% across the board plus wages. Waiting tables is a choice and an art that if you are good at you will expect 20%. Give charity to people on the streets, not people who made a conscious choice to work in a place that feeds them for free. It's not a pity party to dine out. 10% is standard.

God knows!!! I am in a transitional period in my life. God gave me a word two years ago. I would start the walk with him but get distracted, get off course, fall short. There was little change. Last year I made a decision to move forward. This year my life has been constant changes and transitions. I believe God told me to leave my current city and move to another. Yet, I am stuck in my current city. My family and I were leaving this weekend. We didn't.

I went through one transition which ended three years ago. Now God is taking me through another transition. I am transitioning now from being in a traditional Church which is the United Methodist Church. I was a pastor in those churches and now I am transitioning to the more modern Outlook of a church. And that church is the one that you all show me every Sunday and during the week as I catch up with what Pastor Steven is preaching.

So I’ve noticed since years that the Holy Spirit always speaks to me through his servant. it’s just amazing how social media can be used for the glory of our God. I love how God is using Pastor Furtick to be direct and blunt with us. If we want to help our youth we have to teach them how to go from milk to solid food by letting them chew... We need to help our youth by being there for them not to stop them from falling. Heck we ourselves need to learn to endure the change. I can write about this all day!!! I am almost 50 and I often tell my kids it took me forty something years to get it!!! God need me to go through the full journey. Endure all that came during this trip, the baggage, the consequences, the physical, mental and physical exhaustion but ooooohhhhh to get to the other side!! To stand at the highest peak of that mountain of shame, abuse, rejection and see it all the way God wants you to see it. To leave it behind, drop the baggage, leave the weight behind because God gave us Jesus to carry it and take it of our shoulders. The tears of joy, the release of the weight walking down not running the other side is priceless. Go through your training because things will keep coming till you get to the other side. God loves us and will never give up on us.
