Wind Waker - Final Ganon Battle

I love this battle because Ganondorf showed a different side. The dialogue before the fight made it easier to empathize with him, and after the King sealed his fate, I pitied him. During the final battle, Ganondorf know's he's doomed, but doesn't want to accept it, which made the battle feel very different from ever other final battle in the franchise.

This is by far the most intense Ganon fight ever. Just the way Ganon moves and acts shows you how much he wants Link's blood on those swords of his.

I love this version of Gannondorf! His aggressive fighting style and agility just wont give you a break in battle! And him showing evil smiles while in battle really reflects to his personality!

This has to be my favorite final battle in all zelda games. Everything is perfect. As the Sea is quickly collapsing on Hyrule, It's just Link, Ganon, and Zelda duking it out. It's just perfect. Can't wait to see this in HD.

All of a sudden, everybody loves this game. I remember when I was one of the only ones who preferred it to OoT. Anyway, this is the most badass Ganondorf in the series. Comes at you with his pure skill in dual wielding, not some pussy ass magic shit. And the setting of the ocean falling around you makes for an epic scene.

One thing I enjoyed about this battle is the first time you fight it, you're unsure of how long it really is. Most bosses in games like this have some sort indicator that measure how much longer the boss has to live. This ending was quite satisfying when I first finished WW.

It's really stupid how in the few seconds that Ganondorf is laughing at you and not defending himself whatsoever, that he's randomly invincible to your attacks... Even when your sword is going directly through him...

i like how ganondorf is portrayed in the game, you know you are a far cry from the old legend of zelda timeline. and even though ganondorf is an old remnant of that forgotten timeline he too seems to play the part of an evil pirate lord quite well. his clothing distinguishes him as seafaring royalty of sorts and his skill with dual swords is a testament to how well he adjusted to life on the sea. it's remarkable how grand a villain he is even though he far removed from his own time and place.

After beating Wind Waker I went to TP (till now just about tied with OoT as my favorite Zelda overall) and I was staggered. Wind Waker has aged like a fine wine. TP, gameplay wise and story wise has aged perfectly fine. Some of the graphics have too, but man, for the most part the game is dated. Wind Waker is truly timeless, and has no gimmicks to speak of. It's a large, open world Zelda game that tried a new setting with patented gameplay. And it had a good story. It's my favorite Zelda.

This battle was so easy for me. One day I heard music in the background from my radio while I was doing this fight and it just gave me the urge to fight him over and over again to each song that played. One time one of the songs said "This is the end!" right as I stabbed Ganon in the face at the end.

Ganondorf was a serious badass in Wind Waker, the same powerful young man decked out in Gerudo armor in OOT back centuries wiser and with one hell of a grudge. A sword to sword battle with him was one thing OOT suffered for by excluding.

Have any of you noticed that at the beginning of the game The king or Red Lions and almost every story calls Ganondorf, Ganon(which is his beast form). But when he introduces himself to Link he says Ganondorf... What do you guys think of this? Does it make a difference?

Here is a theory, don't know if it is confirmed or not. At the end of this game, Link and Tetra go and search for a new continent, to be the next land like Hyrule. In Spirit Tracks, the story takes place awhile after WW and PH, in which you are on a large continent unlike the islands in WW. Did they discover it after all? (Note, I didnt play PH so I don't know its ending.)

It makes me sad that some Zelda fans never played this game cause of the graphics. I loved the graphics they where good the particles, the effects, the shadows, the annimations it was perfect and the sroryline it was almost as good as the ocarina of time and the battle system was better than any other zelda game. To me Windwaker is the best zelda game, if u havent played it just do it u will love it as everyone who has played it.

@alphonse52 Let me shed a little light on that for a second. WindWaker and Twilight Princess take place in alternate realities. It sounds farfetched but it's true, it all started with Ocarina of Time but if you want details I'll tell ya later. Anyways, both WW and TW take place exactly 100 years after OoT, but they exists in different realities, so there was a Ganondorf in both time realities. In the WW time, Ganondorf was killed. He also died in TW. Basically, he didnt return in WindWaker.

Well.. I might as well throw in my opinion since I've been reading some of the comments. Every single Zelda game that has come out so far has been incredible. I can't speak for the handheld games.. but I've played some of them and I'm sure the rest are great too. Now.. as far as Ganons and final battles go.. Twilight Princess is my favorite. However.. I like the Ganon in Ocarina of Time a whole lot more. I just love the epic sword fight with Ganondorf in Hyrule Field. It was incredible. So yeah!
