We headed to France to visit the Windelo Factory. It was no less than awe inspiring what they create there, from absolutely nothing. The people who work there are true craftsmen. We are simply thrilled!

I was going to suggest same, then seen this comment. Portrait 9:16 looks ok on a cell phone, odd on a 70 inch screen 👍

Thats an impressive build rate .. in one video some one was attempting to claim they had to quote him ...A glacialy slow rate of production..... Clearly not.. what is also impressive is the standard of finnish they achieve on their hulls straight out of the moulds. That undoubtebly assists in the assembly and finishing. Plus basalt tends to be both more scratch and puncture resistant than GRP ..as well as being safer...health wise. Did you notice the limited number of workers having to wear full PPE compared to a GRP hull build? Thank you for taking us along... without wishing to seem rood why did you start filming in portrait format ...it hides so much.. its easier on the eye and the brain if you can keep to the landscape format especially if you need to pan your shot. Viewing on a phone it makes the field of view very small 🤓. Wonderfull boat and I'm sure they will be on or very very close to time ... having seen the process thus far. Just in time for a shake down cruise of the Med. and the near coasts. Cest tre Jollie.⛵ If you want a warmer throne 😉 i suggest a wooden seat...bamboo or Basalt fiber... Flax for added lightness. 😂🧙🏼‍♂️🇬🇧🌌 Im impressed for new company they appear well sorted and have clearly have good communications with their clients. Things clearly bode well. There's new improved technologies for batteries and solar arriving all the time. Increasing both performance resilliance and safety.

It was all so impressive! They definitely have their act together. One if the guys I met said in all sincerity that they are striving to be the best boat builder in the world. Hope they do it! My go pro decided not to work as soon as we got to the factory, thus the dumb iPhone video. Hope to improve as we get further down the road. 🎉

@@SailingSecondStar-pj3ww 👍🏼😉 If they can continue tweaking the details and benefit from the ultra compact multi generator ICE tech that's already been developed either free piston or Liquid piston rotary then the worlds theirs. The only issue I would like to see is a manual way of switching the motors on off even if the control interface got fried. If you've never seen one take a look at the one cat that actually went further with the enclosed forward helm station the DeepBlue Rapier R550.. The mast is semi automated and behind the helm. It's hulls are very similar and the performance as high if not higher. Though this was done ten years ago.

Hi happy Second Star future sailors! First of all, congratulations to your stunning , amazing new boat and to your wise decision to make your dream finally come true! And thank you very much for sharing your fun and beautifully made videos! My husband and I've been also enjoying the seas under sail for quite a while. On a 40 ft monohull. Europe, North Africa, Atlantic crossing, Caribbean waters. More than 30000 nautical miles and of course many stories we can share, if you want. BTW, We' ll be in Canet en Roussillon, also in July. Maybe we have a chance to meet in person?
