I cried because of your version of Little Boxes. When I was an exchange student in Montreal, I totally lucked out on friends and ended up living with a most wonderful group of hippies in a communal house. Actually a loft that we built six bedroom , three stacked upon each other. I met people who made my heart sing and it was there that I first heard that song. I spent the year that I was there debating if to stay in uni or go sailing (working as crew until I could afford my own). In the end I took two years off of uni, and worked in France but now I'm back at uni, in a long distance relationship with someone who doesn't sail & still dreaming about the day that I'll buy my boat (already found her, just saving) and set my sails. Hearing the song at first brought back all of the warmth and love from that Montreal loft & particularly the lovely Emily who taught us the song. Then as you did your bit, ALL of my heart's strings were pulled. I love how your positivity seeps through even when you're having a rough day at sea. Happy adventuring! Greetings from Trinidad (& Tobago).

Damn, you hooked me to sub with "beer is still beer", opening with a winch handle and enjoying it while taking in the view from the deck!!! But your rendition of Malvina Reynolds 'Little Boxes ' nailed it, WOW! I'm sure Malvina is smiling as much as I am right now, although she would be labeled as a radical bohemian, pre-hippy.... and love your dry sense of humor too!

Such a cool video. I was really shocked by how much the interior of Bonaire looks like Arizona, sans rattlesnakes and scorpions. I didn't know what I was expecting, maybe a lot more palm trees? I also loved the heart of padlocks 21:08 and the great blue hole pierced through the clouds behind it, it reminded me of the padlock bridge in Amsterdam. Keep up with the great videos, looking forward to meeting Wind Hippie Mom ;-)

Just catching up on your channel and signed up for patron. Really cool stuff ! The dry climate intrigued me, so here's what I found on interwebs about bonaire..... The difference between the dry months and the most humid months is only a few percent. The reason the moist air doesn't grow into showers is because the island is small and the lack of differences in altitude. Most of the rainy clouds pass Bonaire to cause rain on the mainland. This often is Venezuela.

Hi there intrepid traveller! Watching you walk amongst the cactus and as you were reading out the cactii description, the one that I reckon would be of some use to you is the prickly pear, the fruit of which is edible, Yep food worthy, to get to the tasty bit you use a folded hankerchief and a pocket knife to peel back the skin, now it does have a lot of dark seeds but the yummy bit looks a bit like watermelon consistency and tastes good and juicy natural sucrose so you could avoiding prickles make a nice natural juice drink, I guess you could mix it with tequila voila "cactus sunrise". Be Safe, Cheers👍🇦🇺👍👌🇺🇸

All three ABC island are very similar in what you saw with the coral and ocean, the cactus, etc, but mostly on the west sides. In Aruba, there are mooring balls on the north, near the lighthouse, the area is called high rise, but you can't overnight on the moorings because is across a public beach. If you go back west, you'll be fighting the wind and lots of tacking. Have fun. Fair winds and stay safe.

If you put beer bottles in the sea the best that will happen will be that the beer will get to the same temperature as the sea, which is going to be pretty warm in the Caribbean! If you wrap the beer bottles/cans in a cloth bag or similar and hang it in the breeze after soaking the bag, then the water evaporating will cool the beer. You may need to keep re-wetting it. Give it a go. Bon voyage.

A little advice on cooling a bottle of beer. Do the following Roll a bottle of drink (which is not cold) into a soaking newspaper or towel. Place the roll in the sun and wrap when dry. What's up? The energy from the sun rays heats the wet newspaper and causes the water to evaporate. When the water evaporates, it takes energy from the rest of the water in the newsprint, even from the drink inside the bottle. When energy is removed, the temperature drops. That way, the drink inside the bottle gets colder. Good luck, it's good to follow you on your videos. Greetings from Norway.

If you plan on sailing to Tahiti be aware that in Papeete you may more much like you did there, only diff is you will be only about 6 feet from the shore and hundreds of people will be walking by looking at your boat. And then every so often a high speed ferry will zoom by . Like the underwater view of your boat, she is nice.

Hello Wind Hippy I would just like to say how impressed by yourself. You are Bright determined and hard working. You certainly deserve to live your dream and have success in life unlike most of your whinging entitled generation who demand it as a right. What's more you seem to understand that it will not always work out even if you do everything correctly as life is not fair however you have enough grit to bounce back. I would say you are a credit to your generation however they do not deserve to be associated with you. I wish you all the best and hope you continue to have an extraordinary life. PS I am sure your parents are incredibaly proud of you.
