The windmill is one of the most common and most important powermoves. In this tutorial I will teach you the steps to achieve backspin mastery.

Thank you for breaking it down into small steps that are very easy to follow, amazing job! I used to windmill when I was 19 like 12 years ago.. today I can get one decent windmill but cant connect them anymore. You video really helped me understand my problem, my hips are not high enough, my first windmill is very low so it's very difficult to chain on the next one. I will be very happy if I can at least windmill again at age 31 :D

I learned the windmill because of this tutorial - thank you so much. After thousands failed attemps with too much speed from the turtle freeze and legs hitting the ground. My breaktrough: 1. after learning the ”slow-mo” / ”freeze to freeze” step by step windmill (as shown in this video) 2. I then had to keep my legs actively open - like I literally started with legs wide open laying on my back and started as slow windmill I could from there focusing only on my legs being open and straight. 3. And then the first slow two rounds go slow with legs sweeping the floor, and third round turns into real windmill! Holy damn. Thanks again.

I totally agree that it's comfortable to keep the head off the ground. However I've heard and seen that keeping the head on the ground for more advanced windmills like BBoy storms mills or magnet style mills you must have the head on the ground. Otherwise awesome tutorial. Subscribed.

I would say anything smooth, the best material is a wood/vinyl floor, but I use smooth concrete because I do not have access to an area with a vinyl floor due to COVID 19

Also if your a beginner I would recommend holding each individual freeze for about 30 seconds without failing. I did not have my left shoulder freeze when I tried and it made learning significantly harder.

At 2:00, I noticed that when you're doing just the 1st axis of rotation, you roll in pretty much a straight line (your head is pointed towards the viewer the whole time). When I try to do this, my body starts to rotate around the floor clockwise so that after one full cycle of the 4 positions, my head is pointing in a direction 90 degrees rotated from the start. Is that something I should try to fix? And if so, how? Are you spinning at all as you step through the 4 positions, or is it purely rolling? Thanks so much, phenomenal video

2:00 Man, how can i do that handstand? I'd really want to be a break dancer at my age (13) but i can't do even a single freeze. My movesheet is very simple, just like a real begginer (My moves are Top Rock, footwork, six step, three step and backspin). I'd really want your help, you look very professional in this thing
