Not the comedy gold I was anticipating, but the comedy gold I have come to expect from Tim.

First time I’ve seen this style from Tim, it’s normally a serious video!!! Definitely a dig at Nascar for sure!!!! Well done Tim gave me a few laughs!!!

Lord, Tim coming to life, I love it! This video was a blast and still was all about our safety on the track. I don’t have a track car yet, but I will soon. People like this are why the “car culture” is so addictive. Thank you sir, please continue your work!!!!

I competed in a Nostalgia Super Stock series for 11 years. One of the drivers was a former NASCAR driver. We gave him a fit! Great guy, with a sense of humor. He said there was a fight, after almost every race, in circle track racing. A weapon built into the car would help. LOL!! RIP Bob, we love, and miss you buddy.

Crap sakes. Lever latch works great. also tighten the net up. Its not supposed to rattle when installed right. It also will never be in a bind. Yours has a small release handle and could flip outwards in a wreck and make it harder to find in smoke or fire. The lever latch will always be easy to work and it easy for the safety crew to open. I have installed over 50 of the lever latch releases in all types of cars mostly road race car with out any issues including drag cars. Also even if you can install it correctly under tension how are you going to here it rattle with the car running.
@jeffreyroth75175 жыл бұрын
I'll agree 110% with you. I worked on the "Nascar, round round" stuff, when properly installed there's not a hint of rattle and it takes a grown ass man to put one up when it's built properly, because of the tension of the net. The example he built is built like a 5 year old saw it on tv and cobbled some crap together with the parts he saw. The latch also has a velcro strap that keeps anything from knocking it loose. His design may be lighter, but wouldn't hold a candle to a proper window net from a "nascar style" net.

I've watched drag racing and Nascar since I was kid. Now I'm retired and can have some time to get in-depth with both. I found your channel recently and can't get over your discreet sense of humor. I love the 'Little' Dick' guy. What a laugh!! But my point is you have a lot of valuable information that I had never had the opportunity to think about prior to now. Thanks and keep up...... Little' Dick! LOL

You have some good points about the spring rod setup and I was going to build my car with this setup until I saw it fail in a rollover/cartwheel type crash at KOH. Also I now of at on racing sanctioning body that just outlawed them.

The nascar model window net latch you showed is the base model. The deluxe model comes with zip ties on the release lever covered in some day-glo colored duck tape so the driver can see it.

I love these videos. Tim is a flat out shoot from the hip kinda guy that will tell it like it is.. Even if its not what you want to hear, it is what you need to hear from his experience... Plus the fact that NASCAR is killing it's self. rule changes / super speedways/ political correctness and big ticket prices will never compete with the PPV TV shows showing violence and growing popularity....
@barrymccaulkener32304 жыл бұрын
The nascar style is easy to release when you can't see, back of the hand against the window net and lift. also you forgot the hose clamps and miller lite in your install kit. 6/10.

@injectorrick37004 жыл бұрын
In a cents, drag racing is a little bit round D round. Ya gotta turn round to the return road and make turn rounds in staging lanes. And also you gotta make ''rounds'' to win the race. That way you can tell all yer NASCAR friends you know what round D round racing is like.....good day, stay thirsty.

Late to comment, won't get answered. PROBLEM with most designs, is the TAB's that stick down from the cage bar. Go ahead and bust out of the seat and scrap your back, tear your fire suit, on the senseless tab hanging in the door opening. Departure of the drives seat should always be smooth and deliberate. NO OBSTRUCTIONS.

Tim is such a hard ass that it's hard to know when he's being funny. But when the guys says you can call him "little dick" I nearly peed my pants. 😂 This was really enjoyable. Tim being funny it's like swimming with a great white shark that is wearing a clown mask. You want to laugh but every ounce of your being says run. 😂✌ Thanks for the video Tim.
