Hi graet Video. Will be great if you make once a video about : what is considered to be a " forgivable error or mistake" by installation. In other words where is the border between changing the film ( redo the job) and where we can accept the error . Sure it depends on the client too. But would like to hear what is your opinion.

Excellent video. Why does the reverse roll method adhere when usually the reverse side is used?
@FlexFilmPlus7 жыл бұрын
jmtrotzie Because I pull the release liner off simultaneously as I roll the film which exposes the mounting adhesive to the glass. It is like a magic truck in the video. You have to look very close to see it.

Hi, love your videos and I have a question I couldn't find an answer to in your library. How would you address a glare strip on this car? Would you put it on top of the windshield tint or make it a splice application like you did on the rear window demo?
@FlexFilmPlus5 жыл бұрын
I only tint visor strips over 70% tint or lighter otherwise I will splice.
@FlexFilmPlus5 жыл бұрын
If the film on the front windshield is lighter than 70%, I would just lay the visor strip on top of the film. If the windshield film is darker, I would splice it.

Off subject of a windshield tint. I've had two customers this week that had a door window that did not work. How do you handle that? One customer was not happy because I couldn't tint it. The other was understanding.

blaino1 I usually tell them they need to get the door repaired. I will throw a piece of tint on their temporarily until they returned with the repair and redo it for free. If they do not show back up, I do not worry about it.

Hey Ralph, after watching this video (and others of yours), I'm going to try to put 80% ceramic on my Tesla Model Y. The question I have for you is, aren't you concerned about the amount of solution that goes down the front of the windshield? It seems to be a lot. Any problems with that in your experience. You definitely have some good methods but some of the things you did were weird and unnecessary . I put it down to filming tho. I always do my hard pass first just work it slowly 2 pieces not 4. Anything after the first pass if it starts to dry you're gonna get ghosting and rippling itll look crap. You need to look into some other tools. Down here in australia no ones uses those turbo things... we have proper handels and we use 3m cars cut in half for sides and bottoms of doors
@FlexFilmPlus5 жыл бұрын
You can't ghost nano ceramic window film. You can ghost sputtered ceramic window film. If you have priblems with ghosting, switch to nano ceramic technology. It is a standard two ply constructiin designed for auto. Sputtered ceramic is better suited for flat glass and involves multiple layers of polyester. If you heat it too fast or uneven, it will ghost.
