Thanks for the video. Good to see that someone else out there has the good taste to have a driveway full of these trucks. Im only up to 2 so far, both '02s, a z71 stepside and a z71 extended cab. Hoping to get a tahoe someday soon to round out the collection. I also often run into the conundrum of deciding weather or not to canabilize one to repair the other.

My passenger side window stuck open about 5 inches. It just growls when I push the button. I never thought to push or pull up on it to see if I can get it closed. I'll try in the morning. I'm a 70 year old woman who was hoping it was just a broken clip the window was resting on. I drove my 2002 Silverado off the lot with 4 miles on it. It doesn't even have 100K yet. I don't think I can do all that is needed myself. Maybe I can find someone to share the video with that can do it for me. At least I now know what went wrong, what terminology to use, and find the parts needed. Thank you. I suscribed to keep learning about my truck.

Thanks for the video! Just by chance, I pulled the regulator out with the motor attached and it made getting at the interior bolts on the motor a piece of cake!

If you're replacing the regulator AND the motor, you don't have to do that awkward unbolting from the back side of the motor. Just take it all out with the regulator. Great video. I managed to replace mine in about an hour with no problems.

Great video, always enjoy them. One trick I do sometimes is periodically put in silcone spray in the window track on the door. Makes it glide real easy and even quieter.

I have a 2001 tahoe and in Norway it gets really cold in winter,and i changed my right side window regulator in the spring but tried to open it in wintertime so i ended up ripping the wire of its Seats/rollers and had to put a new one in for the 2nd Time….so dont use it in winter😉😂

I was rolling my window down and I heard a loud noise so I put it up. It now won't go down at all and I can hear the motor running when I press down but nothing happens. Is there a track the glass stays on or something? What is going on to stop it from going down but here are the motor running? Also I only hear some crunching like glass being smashed when it's going down but my window isn't damaged from what I can see.

The cable may be all twisted up in the window regulator like mine did in the video.
