Very good video that worked really well when I made this same repair. Two things to beware: removing the door panel is not so easy. Lifting up frees some but not all of the plastic hooks that slip into the door frame. Patience and looking around get them free. Second, the video does not mention that two screws plainly enough. they are 7mm ones, and the door bottom screw is really simple. The one behind the handle is not, and don't confuse it with the 10mm that holds the handle to the door. That little 7mm will hold the entire panel on, so be sure you get it. My OEM replacement part worked great, but...the two bottom fasteners are different, in the right spot but coming OUT of the door panel. You'll need to fit everything carefully, because Chevy must have used two different styles of regulators: same size, different fastener types.

Good video but with my experience you should have lubricated the window channel with some factory recommended lube. Reason being window channel is old and dry causing allot of friction you can actually hear the new motor dragging because of the dry window channel, some lube on the tracks will make that window move allot quicker.

Just one thing there professor,.....you forgot to mention that the plastic shielding HAS to be put back on the door to seal out wind, water, and debris like dust and that job is a royal pain in the ass,.....like duct tape city. Lube is essential for smooth cranking windows, especially the manual crank ones.

I have an 06 1/2 ton silverado and i want to replace the manual windows to power windows, i asked a locar shop and they told me that in this models not every after market window regulator would work, tha if i could find the originals from a salvage truck that woudl be better, so i ask for your recommendation of what to do and if the brand in this video has proven to be reliable?, because on other brands the reviews are not verey good often they say the window regulator stop working after few months or even weeks after installation, so i think you get the idea i want to buy something that will last, thank you from méxico

What happens if your window is stuck in the full down position? How do you get to the window connections to raise it up?

I broke my door lock mechanism while taking the panel off, would have helped to know how to detach it without breaking it. Video made it look like you just had to unscrew 2 screws and lift the panel out, which is when I broke the door lock bracket.

Oops. To anyone reading this, just stick any suitable trim tool behind the door lock indicator and pry it out. It does not have any metal clips holding it in.

Can't get door panel off, followed all steps, something is holding it that I cannot see? hidden screws or tabs? I have the same exact door.

My 2003 looks nothing like that. The door doesn't have the large access hole and the window switch has a bolt so doesn't just pop out.

My window just gets stuck at a certain point it won’t go passed it. I pushed up on it so hard I pulled half of it out of the clamps

does anyone no a good quality 2003 silverado power window regulator? these parts from ebay jus ain cuttng it. this one i jus replaced it lasted 3yrs but it was super quiet n worked real good. this new one i put on jus now is stupid its quiet goin down noisy goin up wtf i doubt its gona last but its guaranteed for 10yrs rofl. so much bs. the original one lasted 9-10yrs. i wish i new wat brand it was

****BE CAREFUL WITH THIS! Right off the bat he pulls the window switch out and that is the INCORRECT way to do it and will RESULT IN BROKEN SWITCH MOUNT. The entire door skin has to be removed to access a hidden screw on the front of the switch from the underside!!!!!*****
