Your story really inspires me because i’m kind of sitting in a terrible position with no job and every job i apply to rejects me. So i decided to take matters into my own hands and start a window cleaning company. Thanks to your videos i’m learning new things, KEEP IT UP MAN!

i love commerial yor in yor out no fuss no bs, u dont have to book the jobs in advance like with residential and then play the master servant game with the home owner, i fully understand why u charge a $500 min 4 inside residential windows

But who did you talk to ? Im thinking an employee of the store doesn’t have the authority to approve paying out money for a window cleaning . Do you. Ask for a manager or store owner ?

Thank you for this real to life story , and your window cleaner’s testimony. I know it will help my window cleaning business a great deal . Business doesn’t really come naturally to me so I’ve had to fake that part and wing it , all the while being a “Natural” though at actually doing the work . So this video really is helping me at the business side of it all . I’ve been severely undercharging people with the mentality that if I charge too much I’m breaking the bank on people, but I still do think that can be the case sometimes so I play that case to case anymore. Thank you for your knowledge on these videos 👍
@jamesspeer5529 Жыл бұрын
Bro... you can put other people on your budget. You provide a value add to people, and you should charge the market rate. If you undercharge, you only hurt yourself, your family, and your self-image.

I’m really interested and young. But I still have a bunch of questions like do I need some type of license or permits to start this business. Also, what does licensed and insured really mean. Please I’m really curious and intrigued. Thanks for the info my friend. ❤

Few questions, I’ve started a window cleaning business all thanks to you, I’ve had a few jobs already but I get discouraged because some days I’m not getting calls or customers are saying more no then yes, but I have seeds planted at a lot of stores just waiting for calls back, how do I not lose hope, I know I can do this just some days I worry and want to stop doing that. And how do I get commercial accounts with out a llc, like I’m tryin to get few accounts but everyone tells me to call corporate and usually run into a dead end or I have to make a Account online but I can’t finish it because I don’t have a LLC number or business number. I am located in Ocala fl

I been through all that stuff. You. You just gotta be a bulldozer. Keep marketing, keep calling, keep trying. Keep passing out business cards and asking for referrals. BUT.... Start do all your marketing at night and ask every single customer to leave you a positive 5 star review on google and collect every customers email and phone number. Then expand the top as you dissolve the bottom.

Hi. I know that you asked Keith but I recently started a company cleaning windows. If you are counting on the callbacks in the beginning, you will be disappointed. You WILL get them eventually but until then, this is what you do. There is no way around it. You pack your gear. You go out and bang on doors all day till you get jobs. I do things differently than most. I walk up to a building, figure out how much I want to clean it, then I walk in and get THE DECISION MAKER, and say " My name is X I own a WW company called X , I was passing by and NOTICED YOUR DIRTY WINDOWS. I am a professional and will wash them RIGHT NOW for x amount of dollars. Think of it this way. You are there, They are there, The windows are dirty, there is no excuse that they can give you that is valid. ( i have a guy, WHERE is he?). I have developed a pitch that comes down to one thing. I am there and so are they, The windows are dirty and I will clean them NOW> The only excuse I could not overcome was " I do not have the cash here to pay you". I Now take cash, check, cc and debit cards, cash app and almost any type of crypto. Make it as easy as possible for yourself. That is the "what you DO, every day. You will still want to have the digital marketing assistance that Keith has done several videos on. When asked how he would spend $1000 to start a WW company, he spent $950 on marketing and $50 on WW gear. That was absolutely the right thing to do in my opinion. Actually washing the windows is almost the last thing you worry about, that's a no-brainer, all window washing companies wash windows, you can only get a window perfectly clean no matter who you are. The DIFFERENCE is in your marketing and practices and you need to develop both.

@WindowCleaningBluePrint3 жыл бұрын
Of was part of 2 BNI groups And I was so swamped in my business. That I had to leave both of them. Unless you're completely out of the field.. or can send someone else to join the meetings for you. I didn't understood how people had time to attend them. Maybe I just wasn't ready.

Man, guess i missed it. I found you through Brian's vids a few years ago and just thought you did landscaping. Not a clue you were into windows. How do you feel about someone working full time trying to start this at 4 p.m. every day? I make good money at my FT job so def cant quit just to start this, but how do i approach this when most places are at the end of their day and closing shop? Limits my ability to hit a lot of locations each day. Or just wing it and so what i can as i can.

Why start at shops why start at the bottom. Id go straight resi how to make millions cleaning windows work your ass off till you have the knowledge whilst building a tribe of subcontractors then when you can as a team start a company done ✌
@Aglassact772 жыл бұрын
Because you really shouldn’t be on million dollar homes until you have a proper knowledge of how to clean them safely and do quality work . Storefronts give you practice for a beginner’s skill set . Starting your window business on large homes first is a good way to have a quick insurance claim , or have an inexperienced worker break their neck falling off of a ladder because of the employer’s general lack of experience and understanding of job safety. Some thing as simple as “Ladder placement” on a rocky hill ! Something to think about . We never put new guys on big expensive houses ...

The script works like a charm but I made a tiny modification that works in my area. I've even gotten call backs from people that say they already have someone that does it, and they had clean windows so I believe it. I follow the first part to a T though. "Good morning/afternoon how are you doing?" "Good and yourself" "I'm doing amazing thanks for asking. My name is Matthew I own a local window cleaning business were expanding in this area I noticed your windows are dirty do you have anyone that cleans them already?" "Yes/no but we're ok we don't need it" "Really? If you look right here *point it out* it looks really dirty. Clean windows can really boost the appearance of a store. I'll do them right now for $15" "No no no, wait. 15? Go ahead" I'll always do the windows as good as I can for that $15 and I'll make sure they see me wipe down the outside and brush off the dirt. Once they see that I'm golden. They usually offer an extra 5-10, say be back here in 2 weeks, and like 30% of them say they'll refer me to someone else so I leave a business card. I definitely do not get that many calls though so I don't believe they all refer. Either way though, it's a win win. I get my cash, they get clean windows, I get a consistent client, and occasionally ill even earn a 2nd or even 3rd client from 1 job. In the beginning be perfect, later down the line you'll be able to worry a little less about a streak or smudge
