My wife actually wrote all of her papers in WordPad back in college on her laptop and then added the additional formatting before printing the document on a campus PC. With Google Docs now being somewhat compatible with word/ schools offering Office 365 access this struggle is hopefully a thing of the past though. It was interesting watching her go to the print preview screen to see how many pages she was on.

Thankyou very much for this. I have spent many hopeless hours trying to understand the more complicated methods when in the end it will probably be the simplicity of this WordPad that allows me to type out the letters I need to. As you say a letter presented nicely to the GP. MP or landlord. I have just checked it out on my computer and it is looking fine for the letters I want to write. Letters that I was happy to do on my typewriter. It's a blessing. Thankyou so much. What about a video on connecting a printer to the Internet for these letters. For many of us it is as very basic as this. It is all we want. We donot need to feel overwhelmed by all this technology gone bonkers. Ninety Nine per cent of it means nothing to folks only a headache actually

I have never needed anything more complex than the standard page in email. On that 'New Message' page I have written thousands of texts, documents and messages over the last 15 years or so. To print, I simply highlight the text that I want and then press Print. Simples!

Great tips, but i have a question, i use a filofax and since i don't know how to make my own yet, i like to download and print others, but my problem is the size, i believe one of the sizes is 8.5 x 5.5, in other words how do i resize a printable to an 8.5 by 5.5, and how do i print on the reverse size, i don't know why this is so hard for me, and i just updated to Windows 10, thanks in advance

Thank you for this Video, I have the most up todate Windows 10 as of the time of this posting and with this basic windows 10 I have he same "Basic" WordPad. I need to type a resume for a few jobs online and nearly gave up hope trying to find templates fore resumes. I found a few websights that are actually really nicely/professional/eye catching layouts however you do have to pay for the sights for access & there sneaky so you cant just Copy & paste onto your existing WordPad. Watching this video gave me a bit of insight & some ideas on how to type up just a basic/decent resume online. Thank you for this video.

Thanks for the good instructions, had created a user account, but when I logged in, I had a flickering image and it this happened that I read by more people. this is a bug in windows then? and another question, when disappears the $ Windows. ~ BT. map ,because remove fails. Gerhard ter Velde flickering has something to do with the display adapter driver, remove it and click action to check for hardware changes in Device manager might fix this I will check out the folder and if and how you can remove it

What I would like to know is can I type out a letter , but take my time finding information to add to it. .. say over a course of a few days , while still keeping it to finish ? You can save your letter and work on it later on

I need to know how to get text to begin and end on the left and right of the page. I see what looks like a ruler on top of the text area and it cuts off where the text goes appearing to start at 0 and 6. Well I want to use ALL of the space provided so it would I guess technically be from -1 to 7. Can't figure that out yet.
