is there a file size limit im trying to move videos usually around 1 hour long from my ipad pro to windows 11 laptop but when i try this way you are doing they don't show up at the moment the only way i can do it is move from my ipad to my MacBook then to an external hard drive then i can get them to my windows laptop

I've been uploading to MyDrive then downloading to my laptop. This is a more efficient way to do the task.

Not working. It's importing 1 photo, and one 2 hour video from an iPhone 11, and It's stuck on importing! The only option it's giving me is to cancel the upload, and that progress bar is near the end. I don't know what to do! I'm thinking about canceling the import and saying "Forget this thing!"

I can't get my photos to show up on the photo app. I've been looking for solutions all day. Updated and restarted everything. Uninstalled and re-installed the photos app. Any ideas?

This doesn't work for me at all. I cannot import my photos into my destination folder. I tried creating a folder, just any folder but it still doesn't work. OMG why can't I just go into the drive directory to view my phone, open that, and copy/move what I want?? Jeez. This windows version is much more complicated.

You can copy and paste the Photos from your phone, just go to explorer and look for a folder called DCIM then you can copy and paste into a folder on your PC.

The charger cable should be ok, make sure your Camera device is in the correct mode for file transfer if that still does not work then please try a different cable as there maybe a fault with the cable.

@@george-nb8yn You could try a different usb socket and also make sure that your phone is in the correct mode for file transfer. This will work with Windows 11.

It keeps telling me “something went wrong” and that my files haven’t been imported, I’ve accidentally imported them in the photo app and not in the folder but before I tried to change it into the folder it canceled it and I can’t import

The photos you imported would be in a folder somewhere, usually this would be the pictures folder, the app does not ever store any pictures it just reads them from a folder on your computer. if you are having trouble importing more photos then try to find the photos you have imported, I think you can right click on a photo in the app and click properties or open folder and it will show you where on your computer the photos have been imported to, move these photos to a separate folder and try importing again.

You need to put the camera in the mode required by the manufacturer of the camera, sometimes i can be the mode to video the pictures on the camera or it could be transfer mode, see if you can find the manual for the camera.

What’s App is on the internal memory of the phone go to import from folder and browse to the WhatsApp folder on your phone then import.

Did you ensure your Camera was in the correct mode for Picture transfer, or if it was a Phone or Tablet was it unlocked and in the correct mode for File Transfer (Android).

Windows 7, you plug in your camera, it downloaded the photos and put them in dated file, just like that, no problems, no opening up your pictures file and finding two hundred photos loose and not in a file. Windows 10and 11 are awful beyond belief for photographers.
