Hi Siraj, 1. Time may vary depending on your Hard Disk type. With an SSD it will take less than 15 minutes but with a normal Hard Disk, it will take much longer. But surely less time than reinstalling from the scratch. 2. All the applications installed on Windows 11 will be erased when resetting. Yes, Office too. What do you mean by separately?

I got a person from ikman, He came and entered a key and installed windows. (Microsoft Office professional plus). Will it get deleted if so can I enter license email and password and reinstall it. Can't I only reset settings and not windows, and also my games like Fortnite won't be deleted right (games are in D disk) Thank you !!

Yes. All the installed applications will be deleted. You can get a list of deleting applications before reset. Go through the above video. It's better if you request the vendor who installed the MS Office to provide you the key. Resetting does not remove Activation status. If you are already have activated the Windows it keeps as it is unless you clean install the OS.

Hi! You may or may not know but windows 10 has a leaked build of windows 11, meaning that u can get windows 11 on windows 10. BUT I have a question. If I get windows 11 on my windows 10 pc, will my PC factory reset?

You can get Windows 11 legitimately on Windows 10 using the Windows Insider program. Of course, you can Factory Reset anytime. But you have to stick to Windows 11, even if you want to go back to the previous version since Factory Reset deletes all the system files. You have 10 days to go back to the previous version unless you reset.

This happened to me once with the Insider preview. You can reset the Windows 11 if you do not need to go back to Windows 10. Once you reset you cannot go back to Windows 10 but fresh installation.

This could be a machine specific issue (or an OS related issue since Windows 11 is not released a final version). It's better if you update your Windows and try to do the reset. Always keep a external backup as a safety measure.

Nope. I have checked this myself. It only affects the OS installation partition. But I highly recommend you to do a external backup of the HDD before you proceed just in case. Once I did this without removing data on Windows 8 PC but my whole data was gone.

Yes. Your files will keep intact. I have reset more than 10 times since Windows 11 leaked. But never got an issue. But it is always a good idea to keep a backup just in case. You can copy most important data to an external device or to a cloud backup like Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive etc.

Did you install all the Windows 10 updates before upgrading to Windows 11? If not that could be the reaason. I suggest you to install all the updates of the current version and reset your pc. Unlike other versions Windows 11 keeps latest updates even after a reset. I faced the same issue with Edge and local reset did not solve the issue. I had to do a Cloud reset to work it out.

Sorry. As per Microsoft, it is not possible to roll back but clean Windows 10 installation after 10 days. You can check for C: drive for Windows.old folder, which is the previous version stored folder. If it is missing you are out of luck.
