what about horizon published apps or app pools, is it possible to use windows 11 for that or is it must to use windows server 2016 and up ? am asking because am trying to publish UWP apps

Hi Aden, yes you can publish applications. However, I'm not sure about UWP apps, as I've never attempted that.

What if running those VC tools like Webex and Zoom, in terms of both video and audio performance?

Hi Ng Samson, Are you referring to natively, or with the VDI optimization and plugins? I'm not sure about Webex, but with Zoom, as long as you deploy "Zoom for VDI" properly (instructions here www.stephenwagner.com/2021/05/04/zoom-for-vdi-and-vmware-horizon/), then it's all offloaded to the client and will work amazing! If you run the apps natively, configure RTAV properly, then your experience should be ok. If you have a GPU, it'll be even better natively, however a GPU isn't required if you deploy the apps best-practice using their respective VDI plugins and optimizations.

Can i connect The horizon client to vsphere 8.0?

Hi Desync, The Horizon client is used to connect to a VMware Horizon Connection Server (or Horizon Cloud), or a VMware Horizon Agent in Direct Connect mode. These systems may or may not be on vSphere, but the client cannot connect directly to vSphere (or vCenter, or VMs) without Horizon installed.

i have error "loading failed" anyone knows how to fix it?

Hi Progetto, could you be more specific? Do you see this error when booting, inside the OS, or when performing specific tasks?

@@StephenWagner when i start my VDI (from browser or app) the loading appear for 1-2 minutes and then "loading failed, the connection to the remote computer ended"
