After 5 months, I have an answer for your question :D. At the point of build 5840 was compiled, Microsoft thought this will be the RTM but then they discovered a crucial bug they needed to fix, they were fixing the bug by pieces build by build until like 5845/5846 which they forked to/as the RTM under a "nicer" build number 6000

Thing is the problem with the Longhorn developpement, is that the team were constantly adding features, but not fixing some of them, and the problem was absoulutely noticeable on the final builds before the Reset. This is why they had to start the developpement all over since it was simply too hard to continue developpement and also because it was taking WAY too much time, Longhorn was set to came out in 2003, but it didn't, due to the developpement being absoulutely troubled.

No. It is 7 with a Vista theme. Notice the Aero peek button on the very right on the taskbar. And in Vista on the start menu in the search box it says "Start Search" and in Windows 7 they changed it to "Search programs and Files" so yes it is 7 with a Vista theme. You can download it on askvg.com Just google it and click on the link and you will see that exact screen shot like in this video.

When you download the theme, (which I have) it includes a readme file that will give you a link to bring Windows Media Player 11 back to Windows 7 and it also gives you a link to download the Vista Sidebar. If you don't believe me just download the file for your self. Just google "Windows Vista theme for Windows 7" and make sure the link you click on takes you to askvg.com. another way to tell it is Windows 7 is by looking at the notification area on the taskbar and you will see Windows 7 icons.

Omega13 in first builds is just an a Post-RTM version of Windows Server 2003 SP1 (slipstream version) but eventually MS added some Longhorn things and other ones was scrapped or moved to Blackcomb/Vienna (Windows 7).
