First off, great video! I had a couple of questions. I just wanted to clarify, Is the host machine to the virtual machines also running as a domain controller? When each backup roles out each week does it replace the existing one?

Hi, with regards to my issue i was having with the error in my previous comment. I have managed to get the restored VM to boot up. What I did, is that I deleted the existing SCSI hard disk from the settings on the restored VM and then recreate the SCSI on the restored VM again by attaching the restored Virtual Hard Drive which was restored from my windows backup. The VM then booted up and all was fine. I am unsure if this is the correct method that was used to get my VM to boot up since I could not find another solution to get my VM to work because of the error i was getting in my last post

What if my server was hit with ransomware but I have a backup offsite. Can I rebuild the server and just do a restore from offsite backup to recover the hyperv's?

And how to restore Active Directory main controller on completely new physical machine? Looks like traditional copy, paste or restore, power on doesn’t work at all. AD is simply not working. It is impossible to login as anyone besides the main administrator due to forbidden authentication method.

Hi. Thanks for the great video. I did a windows backup of my Host and Virtual machine. The backup was successful. When I did a restore on my Disaster Recovery Host which is another server. I recovered just the virtual machine. The machine recovered but when I tried to power up the Virtual Machine. It gave me this error. An error occurred while attempting to start the selected virtual machine(s). 'DC01-SERVER' failed to start. Synthetic SCSI Controller (Instance ID 621BB5C2-7FDA-46B7-B639-1F1C3793FF4A): Failed to power on with error 'The device is not ready.' Attachment ...\SW=DVD9_WIn_Server_STD_CORE_2019_64bit_English_DC_STD_MLF_X21-96...failed to open because of error: 'The device is not ready.' What could be the issue since i am trying to recover to another server host which is running windows server 2019 also. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks Rakesh

I think I have seen this before, eject the iso image from your VM, I think it is looking for the image of the server 2019 and it cannot find it.
