There has been a shutdown screen on every major version of Windows since Windows 95. Here’s a video showing how this screen has evolved up to the present (Windows 11) with many betas included as well!

To those of you who are wonder why ME RTM is not in this video, it’s simple: there is no shutdown screen in ME RTM, the screen will blank immediately if you click on Shut down

@@naufalam7840 I had Windows Me but I never saw orange lines. It's a bug because of high resolutions on Windows Expert's virtual machine. On shutdown or restating, I had boot screen with message "Windows is shutting down" in bottom.

I basically like kernel screen shutdowns ever more than the non-kernel shutdown because I think it is capable of full shutdown but obviously that you could customise.

There's also a Plus! variant of the Windows 98 shutdown screen, which appears when Plus! 98 is installed.

Same with Windows 95, Windows XP RTM and SP1 had Home Edition and Professional boot screens, but SP2 and SP3 removes these

Anyone here remember when we had to use those old windows 7 computers at school? Because for me those computers were slower than a snail because "blocking" didn't exist and where I lived, kids would download sketchy things on those machines.

Windows 11 should change the shut down animations from dot coil to solid coil； Although the dot coil looks better, its animations is very dynamic.
