And, get this, it was compiled 6 days earlier than build 2600. Build 2600 was compiled on August 17th, then it was distributed to oems on August 24th. (That’s for everyone who thinks build 2600 was compiled on the same day it was released.)

This is a whole summary from Betawiki on this exact build so you don't have to. Activation grace period was increased from 14 to 30 days. Retail keys are now also accepted as valid product keys. This was all, pretty minor but it's for testers Nice vid Billy

Nah 248x range is when it started to resemble RTM. This is just the last build that is known to exist before RTM and it basically is RTM except the numbering is off as everything appears final and it uses XP RTM product keys.

It's about as close as you can get to an RTM without actually being the RTM, even though Windows Server 2003 jumped their build number to the 3500 range once XP went to the 2500 range. Server 2003 didn't get RTMed however until March 2003 before they hit general availability that April.

It's actually the last build before RTM and after the RTM, it's just new additions and service pack builds. Like I said in my comment, those are the only changes. And another fact:Windows XP build 2600.5512 is the last ever Windows XP SP3 build compiled on April 2008 and of course I did my research on betawiki.

@@MrRiceTech13 The dxdiag MIDI music was still the original even when XP became RTMed - later builds of XP especially Service Pack 2 and 3 would use flourish.mid for DirectX music.

I always state it in the description. It's 180 days after installation. Doesn't matter what date you install it on, it will work but it's going to expire 180 days later. So if you install it today like I did, the timebomb would activate on 4 January 2025.

I changed it (had no clue X did that by default) so feel free to send a message About email, I do actually check it. It's mostly KZbin that may take me a week to respond because it doesn't always give me notifications. Also, Discord is always another option too.
