Your video answered every question I had about the inside of the tent and I greatly appreciate that you covered the important things that nobody else did ! Nobody mentioned that the measurements were for the outside of the tent, so it's difficult to plan shelving beforehand.. Also your solution for the "tray" at the bottom was simple and elegant ! Merci encore !

I have the 5' (60cm} x 5' (60 cm) x 80 cm vivosun tent which I set up by myself while my wife stood there and laughed at me , as Kento said , WEARING the tent hehehe. The hardest part with this one was getting it across the top with only 6 inches of clearance to the ceiling. Still trying to figure a better way to set up my lights and then add more hehehe . Great Video, the struggle of the tent is real and Vivosun could have maybe added 1/2 and inch to the cutting measurements for easier fitting.

Totally agree, the skin of the tent is too tight... Making hard to assemble.
@Supercazzola Жыл бұрын
Yes and with folks using shelves inside, they should make the size inside more accommodating to standard shelf widths. These are designed for pot growers though who do not use racks, I guess.

@@KentoLeoDragon I mean these tents came to market for the marijuana crowd. The designers did their measurements based on exterior dimensions since the growers grow on the floor using containers / fabric bag “containers” . They didn’t design the tents for folks who put racks in them. Hydroponics and carnivorous plant growers are an added benefit for their sales. Just like with windows versus mac, software designers spend the time where the biggest part of the market is, because that is where the profit is. All I was saying was I agree with Remy and it’s a tight fit when you use standard rack sizes inside the tents

LOL. I have two Vivosun tents, and had to assemble myself. The hardest/funniest part is getting the tent on the frame. I spent a lot of time basically wearing the tent while I wrestled it. :) I don't have shelves in mine but I'm on the lookout for something that would fit.

@@WindowsillNepenthes Oh and I had to move and the movers took it apart and that was fun putting the pieces back together. But yanno, it was kinda fun anyway. It's a big puzzle and you end up staggering around the room fumbling with a big tent on top of you but it all works out. It's a good product and it does go back together.

I put my vivosun up myself. Half time spent assembling half time swearing at the outer skin when one side would flop back over when you’re pulling the other side up, but are 8ft away and can’t do anything about it.

Like others have said, GREAT VIDEO FOR SETUP! I did my 4’x4’ by myself and loved the non-slip grip tape between the tray and floor idea, works beautifully and something Vivosun themselves should consider and include in their packages. I also prebuilt a concrete block base topped with plywood measuring exactly 4’x4’ before I even got the tent, I’m lucky it fits exactly as planned Haha I have tent in a room with 100” ceiling, tent is 80” tall and I made the platform it sits on with 8” blocks and 3/4” plywood so just under 9”, for better protection of platform I started with a tarp 8’x12’ and blocks on top into the square, then plywood and pulled tarp up and over the wood with overlap on sides and front (wrapped up over the back side), used duct tape to secure tarp enclosing entire platform for protection and looks. The thinking for a platform is if I need to drain any overflow then that 9” height would be enough to let it siphon, plus being just a 4’x4’ tent I can sit/kneel/crouch outside the tent with less bending over too when working with plants. Again, Great video and thanks for sharing your thoughts!!

P0 your video was extremely helpful compared to any other videos out there. My husband struggled then I joined him in the struggle we both wore the tent and still couldn't get the peaked roof part on properly. I was concerned that we would rip the tent in the process. The manufacturer really should have made it a hell of a lot easier to install for people. The fact that you change direction and assembled it differently was an eye opener. Thank you!

Great job! A couple things on the flooring… I also have mine on carpet. After 2 years, I decided to take everything out, and add a bottom riser under it, so I can see and feel the carpet below it. I used a few 4x4 wood boards for support, and put a 3/4” plywood board on top of the riser 4x4’s. The tent on top of the plywood. Works perfect, and gives you peace of mind that your carpet isn’t getting leaked on. Because, if your tent leaks, the water will still make its way under your mat, through the puzzle like connections. Also, maybe you could just add another piece of Velcro to extend it to reach around the pipe, and hold it in place? Mines a 4x8 and it didn’t have that problem. Enjoy your tent! Your plants will thank you:)
