Windrock Park Labor Day Part 2 Trail 100 on the DS650

Part 2 of our Labor Day Windrock trip. We tried trail 100 with the DS and ended up with a good ride. Then to the famous Windrock park overlook, and finished up on trail 4 for a little bit. Looks like a good time! I assume you were real selective on what trails you picked but nothing today made it look too awful. That view was awesome!

I’m finding that because of how massive the park is, there are lots of great trails to ride on. There are plenty that are way to rough for what I like, but there is a plethora of really good ones.

Trails look similar to Redbird .. tight in spots ! & rocky in spots ! But a good ride ! Clifford you said in last vid Rap was softer , this 1 the DS was more comfortable. Which is better for an all day ride ?

It’s like comparing apples and oranges. Two vastly different machines. A raptor is no slouch in the comfort department and raptors are so easy to ride. When going fast on rough stuff, this DS is hard to beat, it has so much suspension.

just replaced my radiator, the oil, an A arm, and some odds n ends, also greased everything so mines ready to rip again! had to rip some quick wheelies on my channel to make sure she's still dialed in after sitting for a week. I still haven't had time to get some brass but when I do ill be making the swing arm bushings and selling them on eBay more than likely. Last year when I bought my ds I came off a banshee and the suspension difference is a 180 difference especially on bumpier trials where the banshee felt stiff and the ds was plush. How different is the DS's suspension from a raptor I've been around raptors but never ridden one.

It’s a very different ride for sure. It’s hard to just straight up compare because the machines themselves are so vastly different. The DS is so much bigger physically than a raptor, stock or otherwise. They are both comfortable machines. In stick trim I believe the DS is way more comfortable, a widened and slightly lowered raptor is a very comfortable machine in and of itself as well.

DS seems to do pretty well! Is it more or less comfortable than the Raptor?

It’s way more comfortable than the Raptor. It’s a very different machine for sure. But it is so comfortable. When I get all the little bearing and bushing stuff worked out it will be even better.

@@JacksonOffroad25that would be cool. I’ve got a subscriber with a sweet yellow DS. It would be nice to do some side by side comparisons with the raptors and his.
