@@michaelanzalone203 if I remember correctly, they are both press fit. They have plastic tabs that they sit in. You can pop out the old ones by getting a small flathead or plastic trim removal tool under it and lift. They new ones snap into new plastic clips that hold it. The trunk has small nuts on the back side. 6mm I think? It’s been awhile since I’ve done it. It is a quick job to do.

I am really appreciating your approach on these videos. I am near reassembly for my '78 and remember that there was some type of silicon sealant under the windshield rubber but I didn't see any sign of your using anything like that. What's your take?

I didn’t use any, but if you have some small imperfections in the metal, it wouldn’t hurt to use some. I wouldn’t go crazy though. Can be a bit messy! Thank you for the kind words!

This is Rafael again, I bought new rims and tires for the 1980, 124 spider, Rims15x8”, tires 205/50/15 Where can I get the spacer and studs?I was trying in the internet but nothing, thank you, blessings

The spacers were on my car, so I’m not sure where to get some. The studs are from Vicks. They have a stud kit that’s really nice. I use it on all my Fiats.

So how did you get the gap in the windshield to eventually sit flush with the hood/wiper assembly? We just replaced the windshield but there is a 1/4 inch gap between the bottom of the windshield and where it should meet the hood/wiper assembly.

There are four bolts inside the door jams that hold the windshield. You can loosen those and make some adjustment to bring the windshield towards the front of the car. Should help close that gap

Were you able to close the gap so your windshield sat flush with the wiper cowling? I have messed with those bolts quite a bit and haven't been able to close that gap. It's not huge, maybe the width of half a pinky, but it seems like it should sit completely flush. My brackets, below the wiper cowling, are also welded in place instead of bolted, which I found odd. @@GarageTimeTV
