Great. What a fantastic chair and process. Many clever tricks of the trade. In this day and age of CAD & CNC everything a chair handcrafted with skill and physical effort must be quite satisfying.....it is for me the viewer. Everything about the shop is charming and appropriate for the task.

1/15/24...making Bow Back Chair..wow! Great video, lighting, close ups, interior of (school) shop was very warm & inviting but did not see any coffee /snack area..hey, where's the nourishment?..oops, it's Tenneessee, so guess the Burbon was off camera, aye? That was a great video showing enormous complication to build your steam bent wood rocking chair. Great job filming & editing.👍👍. Stay safe & carry on !😊

I run a fife and drum corps. We play wooden rope tension drums. They're crafted with steam bending, the counter hoops and shell are joined with long tapering overlap joints that are glued and tacked with short (usually cooper) nails, but of course the glue does the heavy sticking. Ive been wanting to try my hand at the process, with a steam box like you were using here, and a jig for the hoops and big long band clamps for the hoops and shell. Maybe someday!
