I love Westminster chime melody because of it's lyrics as follows: " Lord by this hour Be thou my guide, So by thy power No foot shall slide." So that the clock seems to pray to God for the workers and travellers for saving them from risk.

The clock looks fantastic, that chime is absolutely appalling. What the hell were they thinking producing a clock with an electronic chime that sounds as sophisticated as a £15 doorbell from Wilko, that's quite simply awful. I really expected to hear a real quaint, authentic chime, instead we got a musical Christmas card with a pendulum

@@shaahirjoules3908 I agree although some of the quartz movements do sound quite good, especially the Seiko movement. My Aunt had to go into asst. living, basically living in one room, and her mechanical triple chime wall clock was too big, too loud and couldn't be silenced automatically at night. We got her a Seiko mantel clock, she keeps the volume on the low side and it shuts off at night and she's very, very happy with it. It does sound pretty darn nice. When you've had a chiming clock all of your life, you miss it terribly if you can't have one. I know that I would, I have the Howard Miller Jennison wall clock and when it's away being serviced, I miss it terribly.

I love Westminster chime melody because of it's lyrics. "Lord by this hour Be thou my guide, And by thy power No foot shall slide." The tune seems like praying for doctors (all kinds of physicians including physiotherapists) nurses, teachers, electricians, mechanical technicians, engineers, military, police, sweepers, postmen and all those who take up risk in their duties. God keeps watching them as answer for our prayers. When the clock plays the sequence of chime for every quarter and strike the hours soon after the fourth quarter it seems to pray for all the above mentioned.

Should be an easy fix if it’s a press on movement. Just take the hands off, turn the dial to the trigger, then reattach the hands to the right spot. Did that with my lighthouse clock that chimed 3 minutes past the hour and now it goes off right at the hour. I couldn’t stand it chiming not at the 12.

Chimes are out of wack it should go on 12 and i got a 2 chime westminister and whittington chime and it goes every 15 like a mechanical clock does and most of my clocks are mechanical clock with chimes and i have a kassel 15 day that looks similar at top
