I try not to get hyped up for new horse games, I've been disappointed too many times, but I am so excited for this game!! It looks like a dream come true! Horses, plus Mongolian history (I've literally just finished reading a biography of Genghis Khan!)? Fantastic, can't wait :)

I'm a HUGE fan of Red Dead Redemption 2 primarily for the horses and exploration. This looks like it could be my new obsession. I just hope that the horses can hold a candle to or even surpass the rdr2 horses

As a gamer and a rider who spent a fortnight-long holiday riding Mongolian horses among the steppe, it would be an understatement to say I'm excited about this game. I hope you have been able to also confer with riders who have visited or live in Mongolia and have ridden their horses. Due to their semi-wild nomadic lifestyle, Mongolian horses feel more independently minded and ride differently compared to your average English-trained (dressage/eventing) horse. They do respond to leg, seat and vocal cues but they use neck reigning, similar to some western/stock disciplines. There is also a third rope attached to one side of their bridles that is used as a lead rope and to tie a horse to a picket/ground tie, to hobble their forlegs, or to hitch to a post. This third lead rope can also double as a whip in a pinch.

The game looks beautiful! I am very excited to see how it turns out. From personal experience, what's important to me is just that the riding feels realistic, that you are on a living animal, not a car. If the horse has some personality, it reacts to things. Also, it feels like riding a real horse. Of course, sound design and music is also really important for the feel and just making it sound realistic. But to get those horses right, and that they don't look wonky or strange when moving, and that they feel like actual living creatures is absolutely what can make a horse game go from good to amazing.

I looove the look of the Mongolian horses! They are stocky and super cute! Finally something else than the modern bred show horses seen everywhere and I like how you as developers payed attention to this!

Hey im a modder that mostly focus on modding animals for games like Jurassic World evolution and planet zoo. One thing i really enjoy is nature. This game really caught my attention. Will There be future plans for modders like myself to mod your game? Also. Do you guys plan on Making a huge open world ? Since its based in Mongolia i imagine HUGE i mean HUGE open steppes for the player to just wander around. If a map editor ever came out, i for Sure would mod some massive landscape and just free roam on it

While it is far too early in the game development process to discuss official modding support, the Steam Workshop makes modding in our existing games accessible to all! There is a robust modding community for Police Simulator: Patrol Officers, for example!

I'm so excited for this game! I loved Horse Tales (I have almost 200hrs on that game, it's become a soothing game to play while watching shows), which was my first introduction to Aesir Interactive. I'm now a huge fan of your company, and have applied for early access on PC for this game. As a person who has a niche interest in horse-related games, it's wonderful to have a new game to look forward to! My daughters want to start playing games with me, so this will definitely be on our rotation of games once it comes out.

I play Read Dead Redemption 2 only for the horses, and I started playing horse games since I was 6. I can't find anything as good as RDR2 horses, so this gives me hope! The game is clearly in early stages, as the way the horses move on the earth is not quite calibrated yet, but the horse itself looks amazing! Definitely buying this game when it comes out!

I'm interested and have already wishlisted you on Steam. Please polish up the game. I've seen comments about bugs in older Windstorm games and I hope it would be better than previous ones.

We definitely understand your concern! For some context, the original Windstorm games were video game tie-ins for the existing films from that time. 6 years ago, our studio team was a fraction of what it is today. We are VERY excited to have the opportunity to bring our original ambitions to life!

The Kickstarter campaign will be launching before Early Access. Early Access will be the first opportunity for most players to play the game themselves, which is sometime in 2025.

What’s the goal for this game? Deliver goods from point a to point b? As an animal artist and a horse person too the movement seems to be better than in most games but the models themselves are not that good. The anatomy of the horse isn’t right in the concept art either. I also hope there isn’t any unnecessary vocalization added like in any other game or movie that contain horses - they don’t neigh when rearing up etc

Yes, as a courier rider you have to deliver various goods to different locations with different levels of difficulty in a system-driven open world. To do this, you have to make strategic plans to prepare for your next trip, improve your horse skills, etc. Our sound designer has visited a horse stable to record real and authentic horse sounds in different environments and habits.

This games was attracting a lot of positive attention until there was a comment around pronouns. I just hope they keep their comments oriented towards game experience and leave politics out.

Including they as pronouns isn't politics. It's /connected/ to politics because people with strong feelings about other people's business think government should make laws based on or excluding their fellow human beings' identity that they choose or truly feel to be. But in video games it's just letting players make a choice that reflects the character they want to play and enough gamer nerds out there identify as 'they' that it's just another choice devs include in their games. Dont like it, just don't use it, like having the option to make your skin green or having the choice to play a male or female character.

Why are people such snowflakes over pronouns? 😂 It ONLY affects the people who feel more included by those and everyone else can ignore the ones they don’t want. I am female and I want to be called „she“. So a „he“ option doesn’t bother me at all and people with the pronoun „he“ also not.

Why is the main character redhaired ? and why can't you pronounce Khiimori the right way? Everytime you say kimori it butchers the word ffs.

There is a connection between the character you will play as and the main character of the longstanding Windstorm franchise, Mika, who has red hair! With the assistance of Mongolian speakers, we collectively agreed it would make more sense to utilize a western localization for the title. This is similar to how Paris is pronounced for native French speakers and non-native speakers!
