My now ex-husband and I spent six days and five nights in L.A. in 2003. We took one day to explore Santa Monica, and it was glorious! Loved every bit of it, especially the Third Street Promenade. Sad to see it look so dead now. When we went, it was PACKED!

Beautiful and inviting entrance !Good see that this place is safe and calm! I hope can continue of this way, but with more people and joy to have fun, despite the new rules a little hard ! I am loving this tour, lovely landscape! I loved find the movie "ACM" to visit and enjoy this movie but i don't know when i did it for the last time, i miss a good film visiting a movie! I liked here to do it! Returning to your ride, the shops you showed are great, good see the people using the commerce, taking care! Sometimes,we need buy something, but now only do it if really need or to help someone or if there are a date to have a important celebration ! The distance social and use mask is very important, don't touch the objects or surfaces if you are not going to use or buy them, avoid unnecessary manipulations, wash the hands or use alchohol 70 to have hygiene, when get out or when it is necessary, it was to remember the good actions to enjoy safer the places and to protection of health! Your shop are wonderful, Wind! I hope sucess for you! This is a wonderful place, large and sunny! I loved know it through your lovely channel Wind! Thank you again! Santa Monica and down by the pier (nearing the parking lot) are normally REALLY crowded. It's a little refreshing to see it not full of people and cars, and having all these traffic jams.

At the time this was filmed, Santa Monica as well as else where was shut down due to Covid. The beaches were off-limit and the restaurants were just starting to serve patrons as opposed to curbside food pick-up only. Even freeway traffic decreased dramatically . It would therefore be a mistake to draw any accurate conclusions about "signs of life" from this video.
