Most Koreans doesn't go there, because the Myeong-dong streets changed for Foreigner in 10 year ago. Food prices increased too highly, and merchants like a foreigner more than Korean. The streets filled a cosmetic shop and restaurant of franchise, and we can't see a landscape for street of old memories anymore.

I'm Korean. I've been for a long time apart from Seoul. I realized Myeongdong had changed so much by watching your video. However Myeondong is something like a representative exibition place for foreigners. Even in Myeongdong you could see something terrible and dirty behind the external appearance of the streets. I hope you could see all sides of Seoul. Thank you.

"I noticed %95 of their cars are Hyundai and that's says a lot about Hyundai quality" Well, that's one of the most ignorant things I've ever heard so far :D Firstly, most of them are pretty much brand new cars, so new cars are expected to last longer than older cars. Then where are older cars then, if longevity is what makes a car reliable, don't you think? Secondly, korean government put a high tax on import vehicles, meaning that imports are usually much more expensive to buy than domestic cars. Thirdly, koreans are proud of their technology, domestic products etc so it's no surprising to see so many products from hyundai, kia or ssangyong. I'm more shocked to see how few in variety there's to choose from korean cars... I've seen like 30 of Hyundai H-1's in this video alone. That's pretty depressing.

Same thing applies to phones. If a Korean person does not own an iPhone, they probably own a Samsung or an LG (slight generalization but overwhelmingly true).

samsung phone quality is better than iphone, smash it in the floor than u would know it
@clevelands6 жыл бұрын
1, u would see many old cars if u go to country side 2. it goes same way, korean cars get high custom tax on export vehicles either idiot. 3. korean cars not many choice? do u know how to google search?

Myeong-dong is a must see for anyone traveling to Seoul. I spent lots of time wondering throught the streets and shops looking for the latest fashions and deals. In my opinion this video does Myeong-dong justice. It reflects the experience I've had when visiting Seoul's largest shopping district. The only thing I might add is an extra 15 minutes wondering around the Lotte building. If you want to get lost shopping, the Lottebuilding is the best place to make that happen.
