This is where I lived. I walked this road so many times, even now still in my dreams I see this place. I see the Bellvue Hospital my mother use to work, the schools me, my friends and family use to go to, Mountain View road where I use to take the bus to school, the big mountain in the background that was ever present. I love this place.

WOW ! That stretch of road from Victoria Ave to Mountain View I haven't seen for donkey years. It looks deserted and look like shell. But I love the other side from Mountain View Ave to Airport Road. It makes me feel like I have just landed in Jamaica. Thanks for the trip

Gosh, this is so sad! Lived on Jackson Road on the block just before Jackson Lane and Fernandez Avenue, and went to Vaz Prep on Dunoon Road. My parents were married by Fr. Stanley Shearer at Holy Rosary Church on the corner of Gibbs Avenue and Windward Road. My entire family living on Gibbs Avenue and further up in Vineyard Town, all of us moved overseas in the late 1960s and early 1970s. This used to be a lively, vibrant neighbourhood. Sad to see it so rundown. Rialto Theatre, gone. John R. Wong supermarket, gone. Barclay's Bank, gone. Thank you for posting.

I love this video. Brings back so much memories. I left Jamaica in 1983 and I lived on Outlook Ave from 1979 to 1981, and I have fond memories of going to the beach at the end of the street, almost daily. Not sure that beach is still there. I believe it was called Bournesmouth (spelling?) Garden. So interesting to watch the video and trying to identify and recall the various streets leading up to Harbor View. Keep up the good work.

Thanks again for showing me areas that I sometimes dream about. Windward road was once a very presentable thoroughfare, sadly no more, based on the video. The Taxpayers in that area should demand infrastructural upkeep, and code compliance to prevent the further deterioration of the main thoroughfare. You Sir, are a good Patriot. Thanks!

Omg! From Rockford Police Station to Warieka Road looks like a shell of itself when I was a kid growing up there. There used to be a market out there and everything. There used to be the paint shop at the bottom of warieka road as well.... it’s such a shame to see somewhere that used to be so vibrant and colourful just looking like a shell of its former self.... smh... such a damn shame man smh...

Good thing we have a highway on the coast because I wouldn't want visitors to my city to be greeted by these dilapidated run down ,depressed areas at the entrance of our city. Shame on you politicians. If your backyard is even dirty at least take some pride in the front and keep it clean because first impressions last.
