Very nice!! Here has been also extremely Windy lately. Liking the Woodsknife Predator! Thanx for the video Tim!

The Predator is a really nice knife. I think you would like it. Another nice mixture of classic bushcraft knife and Finnish puukko. Thanks for watching Llari.

A beautiful day in a winter wonderland, thanks for sharing. Those are some cool puukko knives, btw. Putting butter in hot chocolate is a new one for me, but I can see how having the extra calories would be useful in those conditions. 👍Take care my friend and Cheers!

Thanks mate, calories always good when it's cold and they are more condensed in the form of fat. Thank you very much for watching the video and have a great weekend.

“A good outdoors person knows what’s biting them” is a mid-quote, that I read somewhere. So, when the wind try’s to bite you, it is good to have more than one way to get a fire lit. You have that covered, just have too many pockets to look into. I have that problem also. Enjoy the sunshine,
@KuukkeliBushcraft7 ай бұрын
Also a good idea to have some emergency tinder on you. I carry firelighters in my wallet, but try not to use them. A good filmmaker would have the fire he was trying to light in shot😂. I was disappointed in myself when I came to edit the video. When it comes to firelighting it is definitely good to have a few options at hand. Thanks for watching mate.

Constant rain in the north of England. What a surprise 😂 Eventually we will evolve to have webbed feet. Selafield might help with that. Thanks for watching John.

Windy down here in Savo as well. Weather getting warmer, but i always feel bit sad this time of year when the snow from the trees dissappear.

I am just so happy to see the sun again. We have lost the snow from the trees but it will be back before summer comes. So warm at the moment, - 44 just a couple of weeks ago. It's crazy weather. Thanks for watching mate.

So nice to see the sun again. I was trying to light a fire and make a video. The wind is terrible for both those things. It's beautiful though here on these sunny winter days. Thanks for watching Arielle.

Hi Tim 😊good to see you again, hot chocolate whith butter, real Arctic comfort drink, and it's nice to see knives that actually see some proper use, and not some mint condition wall hanger. The weather looks great, although a bit windy for you, and where's Uni ?, missed her hogging the limelight,lol. Thanks for the video mate, stay safe, best wishe's, Stuart Uk.

Unni was working, she doesn't mind. She likes her dogs. I always think when putting the dogs together how different their enthusiasm when it comes to work. I like to imagine the bus on a Monday morning with everyone all exited, jumping around and shouting, sometimes fighting. Sounds more like the bus on Friday night. I should film Unni, in line and waiting for clients, totally different animal. I have some shiny knives that don't get much use too. Actually mostly not shiny, mostly antiques. Those two knives have certainly seen a lot of use, two work horses. Thanks for watching Stuart.

Crazy weather everywhere my friend. This time last year on the 29th we had -38C, windchill -51C and today we have plus 3c with a few inches of snow. The wind sure makes it hard to melt snow and boil water. Have yourself a safe one out there brother!

We have had a similar change in temperature in about a week here. - 44 to about 0 😂. Was brutally cold for a week and now it's the warmest January weather I have experienced here. It's crazy Dan. Thank you very much for stopping by mate.

Not the easiest of conditions to make a brew! Those butter calories should keep you going for a while...... Beautiful scenery and the knife looks interesting. Take care, Eddie.

Fat is a very compact concentrated way of getting calories inside you. You burn a lot of calories in the winter. Particularly on long ski trips ect a good suply of butter is a very good idea. Thanks for watching Eddie.

@@KuukkeliBushcraft It's been snowing heavy in the mountains. We've had a lot of avalanches and Slides this year. Roads are snowed out like it was the nineties again. Down in the valley where I live it's been pouring rain. Kind of a weird warm winter. Did battle with a snake the other day, could not believe my eyes.

thank you for another great video! Now I have a question, do you create a second narrow bevel at the edge of your scandi blades? Years ago I was clearing heavy grass, very light branches for a ground blind with my Marttiini 6 inch leuku and found I had chips in the blade, tiny, but chips so I added subtly a secondary bevel, Very subtle . My food prep etc scandi's stay 'scandi though. your thoughts please since I noticed you and apparently Scandinavian carpenters use their knives for everything, I grew up using a utility blade and a wood chisel in my apron!
@KuukkeliBushcraft7 ай бұрын
As you did with your leuku, I adjust the bevel to suit. It depends on the height of the grind, the steel and the use. If I have problems with chipping I will put a secondary bevel on and have convinced grinds that I think are too low. Just taking down the shoulder above the bevel a little. Something I am just going to use for wood carving I would definitely keep at a 0 grind scandi. I really like higher scandi grinds and they do often need a small secondary bevel. I hope this answers your question mate. Thanks for watching.
