Thorndust sat sheltered under a rock overhang, one that had been used for generations as shelter from the wind gusts that would wrack the canyon during bad weather. A few old and heavily weathered cave paintings sat on the ceiling. The elders long ago had named the canyon the Coyote's Fang. Grit and dust flew with the wind as its wings. Thankfully the overhang provided some protection, but not as much as he would've hoped. The women would scold and laugh at him when he got back to camp, and the men would tease and heckle, but at least he was safe. The journey to the neighboring tribe wasn't supposed to go this way. He had arrived a few days prior, receiving the somewhat hostile (but not violent) welcome he had expected. (The Yunachupé tribes--which his tribe was part of--were notorious for their exclusive nature, it didn't matter which of the desert tribes you belonged to, or how much blood you shared.) After conducting the trades and information gathering his tribe had sent him off to do, he started the return journey. He was almost home and in the Coyote's Fang stretch of the trail when the wind started. Now it was approaching dusk, and he was caught in one of the canyon windstorms. He sighed and opened his bag, pulling out his firemaking supplies. There wasn't very much wood nearby, and there was too much wind to go out and forage for kindling and fuel, so he'd have to keep the flames small. A little warmth would still be better than nothing though. The cactuses and bristly shrubs shook in the wind gusts. He made the first sparks with his firestarter. In the distance, just over the sound of the wind and the grit, Thorndust heard the chorusing howls of coyotes. 📌 Here's another ambience for your RPG sessions or your projects, a windy desert ambience with tons of rocks, gravel sounds, strong wind and a very few flutes notes. You can expect many more ambiences creations like this one! You need a special ambience for your RPG sessions ? Just ask, and I create it !

a little bit to windy for my taste (this sand gets everywhere!) but I love this "arabic" flute playing every now and then :-) To me it's a bit more a kind of Canyon-Soundtrack ... well it is one in a desert I give you that! ;-) Thank you for another interesting sound ... I'll keep listening for a while and hope for a thunderstorm to come :-) Other ideas? A nightly forest would be to easy, wouldn't it? An underwater kind of Atlantis surrounding? Ah: An abandoned spaceship!
@MichaelGhelfiStudios7 жыл бұрын
:D Yes it's quite windy. Actually it's like a 15 minutes loop so there's no storm. I try not to change the atmosphere because those who use them videos wouldn't enjoy having their background sound change unpredictably. I still use very long loops so it still sounds realistic. Abandonned spaceship is very funny! I will definitely consider it (and make it), even if I'm not a huge fan of sci-fi for my roleplay sessions. Nightly forest is easy to make yes, but needed. I will do all the atmospheres possible in the long run (~40 videos). I have two more ready at the moment.

To me.. this feels like you're standing in the inner sanctum of a mountian that pierces the clouds, with harsh wind blasting across your face as you look up to the peak. It's an uneasy quiet- the ground is impossibly far below you, and there isn't a safe way down. Your only choice is to crest the peak and face those who have claimed it as their temple, but for now.... you rest. You rest... so the approaching fight may reward you and your ragtag group of friends victory, and that those unjustly tortured by the mountian's curse may finally be free. .... good luck, heroes.
