Hey Steve O! I think I have discovered the mystery of why turtles keep stealing my Blue Ridge blood soaked carp bait I got from Dunsmore bait store. I am solely a bank fisherman and the turtles have easy access to the shore line. In a boat you are far away from shore and the turtles won't wander that far into the lake. 3 times now I have went out recently, and turtles have picked me clean every time. So as a bank fisherman I think I will give up on cut bait. On the other hand, every time I use nightcrawlers under a float, and work the line to make movement, I always get plenty of catfish. 15 catfish over three trips now. So I have learned my lesson! If you want the rest of my blood bait, then have at it! Haha.
