These videos are really well done Hubert. I just created my first wine barrel Adirondack chair for my sons birthday. I am contemplating putting a brace in the back, between the back of the leg and the armrest to give a bit more stability for larger people. Not sure it is necessary. Any comments good or bad on this andded strut are welcome.

Thanks for putting your designs on here Huibert. I have made 2 of the chairs and the table; they are rock solid and much admired by the family. On the second chair I pushed the backrest back by an inch so that it feels slightly less upright.

I really want toknow how you make this chair and I am interested in what you have to say. The music prevents me to watch this video unmuted. The mudic is to loud in comparison to the talking, so if the volume is set so the music is tolerable, I can not hear what you have to say. Could you please reupload this video series without the music? I think these series will do a lot better on youtube.

I have watched all 3 videos and like your approach and of course the final product. I really appreciate that you shared this build and everything that goes into making something at a professional level. I was curious if you have any feedback on how the finish held up after a season outside, and if it was under cover etc. Thanks again.

The finish has held up fairly well, but I would always prefer something better. No finish will really stand the test of time so keeping the chairs covered as much as possible, especially in the rain, is always a good idea.

Great videos? You said you had a pattern to lay out the first assembly steps. Is that pattern available? Thanks

So how is your drawing supposed to help people that don’t have it. Why not give measurements up the board. Not from the ground??

Hi, can you share your hardware materials list? I have the barrels already I just want to make sure I buy the same bolts, screws, etc you used. Thank you!

The bolts are all 5/16" carriage bolts varying in length from 1 1/4" to 2 1/2" depending on the thickness of the staves being connected. The nuts are 5/16" low profile nylon insert lock nuts that I get at Fastenal. The screws are PowerPro Exterior torx drive screws (from Lowe's) varying in length from 1 1/4" to 1 3/4" again, depending on the thickness of the staves being connected. Any good exterior grade deck screw will work just as well, though. The only other hardware are the brackets which, as you see in the video, I make from the barrel hoops. Good luck building your own. They are super comfortable when finished.

Inocencio, Unfortunately I don't. I just used measurements that felt about right to me.
