That's awesome... once you make wine you will never buy it again.. my wife and I every so often will try a wine someone recommends and we're so disappointed. Homemade wine actually will taste like the fruit you put in it. Thanks for watching the channel. 👍👍😁😁🍷🍷

Pretty sure citric acid (from the home canning section of grocery store) is a substitute for acid blend. If memory serves correct it's a one-to-one basis.

Bentonite works by its polarity. The charge of the particles causing the wine to be cloudy are repelling from each other due to same polarity and are attracted to the bentonite, attach to it and fall out of suspension. Now for an addition to his hacks...., go to a health food store and get a jar body detox. You can get it in either powder or liquid form. Works the same way using polarity to cleanse lymphatic system and organs. Read its ingredients and just make sure.

That's awesome. I hope your sending a bottle that sounds amazing. Lol. There should be a way to send via youtube link info on KZbin. I know I get private emails that way without publishing email address. Here is where it is...navigate to the channel, and click on the 'About' tab: There, under the 'Details' subheading, you'll find a 'view email address' button. Thanks for the great info.👍👍👍

Thanks for the video! A while ago I commented about my process of making cherry wine, so far it's going good! I have one question though, how much water added during racking is too much? I had to top up the second of my 5L carboys with 2.5L, so half of it, and now I'm worried that if I mix both carboys that it would be too watery? I also added too much citric acid in the beginning and I hope that backsweetening will fix that. Greetings from Germany

@HowToDoneRight Жыл бұрын
Half is alot.... I try not to go above a ratio of 1 to 7... if I have more than that I add wine. But this recipe adds extra fruit so you may be ok. The citric acid will be fine.

I have a question please, if you can help me, I made grape wine exactly like you said in a 6 gallon bucket, I think I added too much sugar and my homegrown grapes were too high sugar content, And now my wine has way too high alcohol content is there someway to fix that?
@HowToDoneRight
@HowToDoneRight Жыл бұрын
Yes the best way you can take some wine out and add more water.. you can also get a 1 gallon carboy and dilute more and create another gallon batch. Hope that helps👍👍
@eddavanleemputten9232
@eddavanleemputten9232 Жыл бұрын
If adding water isn’t an option because it would dilute the flavour too much, adding unsweetened juice might be an option. The sugar content (specific gravity) will be lower than your initial must, and therefore it will successfully dilute your wine. It will re-start fermentation but in the end it won’t have an alcohol percentage that is as high as your original wine. Or: stabilise your wine, then add juice. Your fermentation won’t re-start and you’ll keep fruity flavour. Do this before back sweetening though, and choose a juice that is clear and the flavour of which goes well with your finished wine.

Same here: I have to drive over 250 kilometres (Europe, so metric, sorry) or order online. So over time I’ve learned to time my orders in such a way that the order reaches a certain maximum and shipping becomes free or at the very least a lot cheaper. Family members have learned that gifts of home brewing supplies are most appreciated and ask me what is on my wish list. This works out to everyone’s benefit as they get to drink the end product as well.
