Hey there! Still waiting on WSET 3 results. Still learning. On the issue of hail nets - I thought they were suspended above the vines. Bird nets are often draped over or wrapped over the vines. Another awesome cast! Fantastic! Thank you and happy New year!

Hey back! You're right, they are suspended (wouldn't do much good draped, alas). I actually knew that and have no other explanation for the gaffe except that I was visualizing bird nets (that I'm much more familiar with) when I was typing. Thanks for the catch! I'm hoping to have my results any day now [fingers crossed], so I feel you. Hang in there and cheers!

I've been listening to a number of your casts and they are very informative and enjoyable, Thank You! You also have a great voice, but maybe drop the gain or move back a bit from the mic so that we don't hear every swallow?

Hello, i'm Matthias from France and Diploma student. Il like to hear your wine casts when i am bored reading all these books… it's a more dynamic way to learn. I'll finish my last unit in June. I teach WSET level 1 and 2 and will start teaching level 3 when i graduate. So you work in wine industry? thanks for all the usefull material you posted!

Been on a marathon listening of most of your episodes since discovering this a few weeks back. I say listen because i use my hour-plus commute to further my wine education, minus the video portion... And thanks! Anyways, the mention of bonardo sent me on a self-guided charbono lesson. Now it's hard to find a bottle in the east bay area. Any thoughts where to look? Only 60ish acres devoted to this in CA.

Thank you. I'm glad the videos are helpful. You're right that CA Charbono is hard to come by. Other than a quality wine shop with a good selection, I can't think of anything more specific than that. I can recommend a great producer, though. Try Robert Foley's Charbono if you can find it, and please let me know what you think. Cheers!

Yes! I definitely will. Robert Foley IS on our store website, but cannot find any in Northern CA. Possibly from the winery itself. A 2015 listed for 38 clams. Thanks for the replies, and good day sir.

¡Jajajaja! ¡Pero qué risa me has dado, chica! "Quality wine" es un término de arte en el mundo de vino que se refiere a vinos no hechos para consumo en masa pero hechos para conocimiento crítico. No hay una región de vino en el mundo que no ha pasado por una época de producir vinos para consumo en masa antes de llegar a una época durante la cual produce vino con una énfasis sobre "calidad." Deberías informarte mejor sobre el lenguaje de vino; te hara bien. Pero la verdad es que tú me pareces como una de esas gentes que huelen sus pedos y declaran cada uno "de calidad."
