She was 16 when she recorded this. It was 2020, and due to the covid pandemic she couldn't perform, so she staged a virtual concert over the Internet. Think she is singing in Italian. She sings a lot in that language, as a lot of great operas are Italian. Though to my ear it sounds a bit Spanish. The music is great even though the lyrics are obscure to me. Amira works on the lyrics, so she can get the emphasis and emotion into the right places. She understands them. Another great reaction. Continue to slide them out please.

I agree that music is a universal language, but what so many people overlook is that Amira is singing in Italian. She is fluent in 3 languages, but not Italian, & needs to learn the words & then understand the interpretation so as to know what she is singing. Cheers Graeme

She's 18 now. Caruso refers to Enrico Caruso- great Italian tenor from around 90-100 years ago. This was as he lie on his death bed talking to the woman he loved about a trip to America. Pavarotti sings it also- I believe you can find a translation with one of his.

Another great reaction. Amira has a wonderful voice. Her voice is ideal for this song. Caruso was one of the greatest opera singers ever. This song is about him and his great love. However, there is a version that is sung much more emotionally. It was sung by Lara Fabian. There are also English subtitles here. I would be interested to know if you like this version, this singer. She is very well known in Europe.
