I enjoyed hearing about the history of Chardonnay in California as well as the tasting lesson.
Thanks for the breathing technique, BTW. Just picked out more plum from my Negroamaro.

It's a thing with cigars. I've tried it with bourbon and it's a thing there as well. Guess I need to do it with wines as well.

Could you do a tasting on Texas Hill Country wines? Specifically Tempranillo.

I noticed evaluating aroma Intensity has been added; which makes perfect sense. Could we expect a scale such as what is used for body, tannin, acidity, etc. be added to a future version of the Wine Journal?

I kinda put it into the the section on aroma, but yeah, that's a consideration. THanks for the input!

It would be nice if you’d compared this to one or two Burgundy whites, such as a Chablis and one from further south. I usually avoid California Chardonnay because the weather is too hot, the grapes are harvested too late,. This leads to an unbalanced wine with a lot of fruit and little mineral. And the alcohol content is usually too high. Chardonnay from Washington is far better, if you want a domestic option.
@Winefolly2 жыл бұрын
That is the generalization here, but I would say that's increasingly not the case. You'll find some very progressively cooler climate styles coming from coastal California regions where the growing season is as cool as Burg. Additionally, I would say that Oregon is another great US place to check out for lower alcohol, minerally styles. Washington state is hotter than Oregon!

THE COLOR ON YOUR HAIR DOES NOT MATCH YOUR SKIN COLOR GO FOR LIGHT BROWNS
@Winefolly2 жыл бұрын
of all the all caps messages I could receive, this one seems the most constructive! It's true that my hair is light brown naturally, but it's so boring. Maybe pink would be better?
