Sifu - so if you intend to move your opponents core the body just does it - through intention alone? Am I right in thinking that the mechanics is irrelevant. The body just automatically knows what to do? Thanks!

Thanks for your curiosity and your question. You will of course also need to know the mechanics of the movement you're making (hence the practice of drills), so the mind knows exactly what physical movement to use and where to direct energy with that intention to either expand or contract. But yes, the intention alone leads the physical body to move. Just as in Tai Ji Quan - in the internal practice the Yi (intention) leads the Chi (Vital Energy), contrary to the external practice where Li (muscle power) leads the Chi (Vital Energy). Hope that helps.

So what physical moves is he doing to expand his center which in turn affects your center? Is he just aiming to your center? Thanks for the replies! @@chromikmarek

@@AK_UK_ He is aiming his intention into my center. Other than the breath and a thought there isn't any specific physical movement per se. This is why we talk about this as an internal martial arts practice. Or rather there shouldn't be any physical movement other than maybe a very faint muscle pressure as the students are learning to understand how to do it without the use of muscle mass, using their awareness to move (expand or contract) energy, which of course is a frequency and vibration. Energy moves with a thought of a specific movement or an intention. If you'd like, take a look at some of my other videos where I describe more in detail how to do energy expansion and contraction. www.tiktok.com/@eclecticground/video/7313373200786689311 Or take a look at my Blog eclecticground.com/blog/f/energy---centers-types Lot of people will say that those practices where you use energy to move someone are fake. Well, I have experienced it many times by different practitioners, and have since learned how to doit myself. It is definitely a real thing. But this is something to feel, not read about...
