Great video bro. I recently beat Zwei on my Saturn. Stunning game. You did justice to it in your retrospective. I found out about Panzer Dragoon through Orta. I beat Orta and the original Panzer Dragoon included in the game. I just ordered a Saturn copy of Panter Dragoon 1 on eBay. I wanna play Saga one day. Fantastic series.

When I got my Saturn back in 96, it came with a demo that had Panzer Dragoon Zwei on it. The demo featured the forest stage with the massive running boss at the end. To say this game blew my kind would be an understatement. Like you said, this game is perfect and it'll always remain one of my personal favourite and most important video games. Great video bud.

Panzer Dragon lore is so mesmerizing. Those final lines about good games living on and never truly forgotten were great too

For me this is the best looking 32bit game. A perfect mix of artistic and technical prowess. It plays and sounds great too. One of the Saturn's very best.

This is my pick for the best release on the Saturn. And they’re are many contenders for that throne. But my launch title that I bought with the Saturn was the original, and everyone basically agreed that this was the winning launch title. I was so stoked for Zwei and it not only didn’t let me down, it far surpassed even my high expectation. So glad for Team Andromeda, their 3 releases alone made the Saturn worth owning alone. And they were just the showcase titles, there were so many titles worth owning on the Saturn that you could find no where else!

Well done yet again. Another beautiful take on one of the best games ever.

I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiments expressed here. I too miss those days of 90’s gaming. The uncharted territory of it all, the excitement of seeing what would come next. I can’t help but compare us “senior” gamers to those who must have first experienced cinema during its silent era, and grew up alongside the medium as it matured. Seeing sound and colour come into being. Yeah I miss ‘em. Could just be me getting older but there just seems to be a stagnation everywhere now. Still some great stuff coming out don’t get me wrong but the corporate monoliths have made what was once a vibrant versicoloured thing into an endless collage of grey

zwei is by far the best PD. Like you say for what it is it's perfect. The sound track is ridiculous. That opening FMV. The moment Lagi first takes flight of the cliff and there's only silence and your freedom in space is probably my single favourite gaming moment of all time. Part of me wishes no n00bs watch this video so they can experience that themselves lol. What's happened to the remake? I pray they don't fuck that up.

It's not better than saga. That's apples and oranges

@@drunkensailor112 yeah, that's like comparing Virtua Fighter to Shenmue and saying the former is a better game. Saga is on a whole another level, same with Shenmue

Whoa! 16:27 Looks a bit like a demoscene graphics programs and maybe a bit arty too! Word of mouth, for Sega, deary me! Someone once told me in a queue to wait for the Playstation 2 and I’ve seen other people say the same. I sometimes wonder if the gamers mind is a bit peculiar, in the amount you can convince yourself of the realism of something. Eg. next gen graphics whenever there was a new console. Enjoyable video.
