Honestly, this makes me feel more at-ease about the whole thing with AI art, and the future of art as a whole. AI is good at making things look pretty, but smashing elements together in a way that fits the context of a piece is a lot harder to pin down if you aren't artistically inclined to them. It also makes me feel better about comic art and animations. I've also noticed that the AI is generally bad at consistency as well, and art styles are an immensely personal thing. Don't get me wrong, it's not like AI art isn't gonna make things harder, because it will; but now I'm more motivated to out-pace it. This lesson about context has given me every reason to move forward with my career in art, and I have you guys to thank. So thank you!

Gestalt Theory? Nice! I love Gestalts in Transformers, Combiner Wars did a great job improving the Scramble City method, but I'd love to see Hasbro & TakaraTOMY take another crack at the two-bot "shirt-pants" combiners from Energon.

Hii I really love your videos, been learning a lot from them! I know it has nothing to do with the video, but I would like to some share of my feelings about the latest developments of A.I. 'art' and what I think are the consequences for us people just starting. I was really happy and motivated to learn how to draw and paint, but now I see really no point anymore. I know I could just keep it as hobby but I was dreaming of making a living from art, and now all my dreams seem to be over >< I would like to really request if possible you make a video talking about what A.I. mean for people starting, and your opinions about it. Thank you so much for the awesome tutorials

Hey so you said Common Region > Common fate > Proximity. But where do Element Connectedness & Similarity fit in the "Group" gestalt strategy hierarchy? Love how simple you make this! i've came back a few times :)
@wingedcanvas
@wingedcanvas 7 ай бұрын
Element Connectedness: This principle suggests that elements that are visually connected are perceived as a single unit or group. Connections can be through lines, paths, or other visual elements. For example, a series of dots connected by lines might be perceived as a single shape rather than individual dots. Similarity: This principle suggests that elements that are similar in some way, such as color, shape, size, or orientation, are perceived as belonging together. This similarity can override proximity in some cases. For example, even if two objects are not close together, if they share the same color, they may be perceived as part of the same group.

Isn't Gestalt the german word for appeal? Help me out pls
@asealoce3818
@asealoce3818 2 жыл бұрын
German here! Gestalt just means appearance, or (In a specific context) a vague, strange looking being. Also! "Gestalten" means to design, or work on something visually.
