Absolutely we need these aircraft in Service soon as possible

The engine location will block the view of several rows of passenger seats. Are the obstructed view seats going to be discounted for looking at engines?
@BPiperDude11 ай бұрын
HAHA. You need to get off those meds if you really think any airline would even have thought of reducing price for obstructed views less implement something like that.

Car mirrors are being replaced by cameras and screens. The new QuestSST pilot flies using cameras and screens. I have seen mockups of planes with windows replaced by screens. I have read that there are advantages to the airframe not having windows. In Asimov's book Caves of Steel planes do not have windows. I think we may be going there.

With all the 737 Max problems I can't imagine an airline or passengers will trust in a new Boeing model!

737 issues sourced from the Censors and Engine design. But airline not trusting them? sure their reputation right now is fumbled to the deep but it doesn't mean they stop innovate and making change

While a thin narrow wing may reduce the drag significantly like a glider’s. But fuel storage in the wings is no longer possible!

@gottfriedheumesser199411 ай бұрын
An X-plane is a research plane to demonstrate new technologies. Therefore they are not built for sale. The development of a usable type of aircraft will start when the tests are finished. So we will perhaps get a new plane in about ten years. Funny that they want to sell commercial new-tech planes in Europe because people there are more environmentally oriented.

Let's hope these things don't fall apart mid-flight like a 737-9 MAX just did.

Its great Boeing sacked all the old White engineers under Diversity and Inclusion policies and replaced them with Sheniqua starting back in 2017, makes you wonder why Boeing is having all these problems lately?

So the 737 will be flying for 60+ yrs before it's replacement arrives? And yes the poorer countries will own E-2 Jets, (that are 30% more economical than ANY similar size plane in the air), before Boeing comes out with this new fangled flying machine!!
@VV-ks6cw11 ай бұрын
I mean, Boeing’s aircrafts are falling apart. What does that say about the company’s quality control? I’d hate and change my flight if i ever have to fly a 737 max again.

Hmm what happens when an engine falls off.? It will take the strut causing catastrophic failure of the wing. Planes have had engines fall off and been able to land safely in the past. In the future?

OK, waste of time.... FYI, before your narration of public domain video/photos, you should actually know what you are spouting about... The "X planes, in point of fact did not begin "in the 1940's with the US Air Force" - in point of fact, the XP-38 was began in July 1938 under the US Army Air Corps, and the USAF was not founded until Sept 1947... Further schooling your ignorance - the US Navy in Feb 1939 contracted the building of XF4U-1 (Vought F4U Corsair)... NOT US Air Force... US Army 1967 X-26 Frigate, US DARPA X-65, US Army X-49 2007 (rotating wing), to name but a few.... can't you even do a basic internet search ?

It’s so easy to achieve net zero at Boeing - simply screw up the aircraft manufacturing process so that the world fleet is grounded

yeah and the truss will FAIL and plane will crash. Trusses are also VERY BAD in fires. Given the 737 can't go a few months without a failure these day. Just lost a door today in flight! Also why is the prototype based on a DC9 [Cool] buy why not use a 737 or 757 airframe for the conversion for testing... anyways we'll see if this is the NEXT BIG THING or next SSJ/ Blended Wing Body. Boeing lots of X-planes landing in the trash bins these days.
@JFrazer430311 ай бұрын
Bullsh!t from Boeing. If they were half serious about fuel savings they'd be using more of a lifting fuselage body design.
