It's amazing to watch this is 2022 and remember what 1993 was like with the looks and all and yet this record is timeless... could have been made today. Their best work in my opinion.
@termsofusepolice29 күн бұрын
By "timeless" do you mean stuck in the 80's and already sounding badly dated by 1993? Just want to clarify.

Saw these guys at Panama City Beach in July of 1993, during the Pull tour, at Club La Vela on the beach. I was 36 at the time, and probably one of the oldest guys in the crowd, or at least in the first 4 or 5 rows. I was already very familiar with Pull, so I’m sure Kip and Reb thought it was pretty wild that some old fart was out there fingering an air guitar to every note in every song. 😂 Had a great time at that show, and would probably rate it in my top 3 of all time. They pretty much played the entire album note for note. All great musicians but Reb is probably one of the most underrated guitarists out there. Glad I saw them in their prime.

Man !!! There was just so many talented bands in the 80s!!! Most of which are STILL touring & putting out quality albums even now!!! Stryper! LA Guns!! Extreme!! Winger!!! Crue/Def Lep/Poison Stadium Tour, GNR/ACDC/ Metallica/ Maiden/OZZY PowerTrip , & on & on it goes…. So damn lucky I got to experience this music in my prime as it was happening. Don’t miss a chance to see these Legendary bands when they come around to your town. Last of a dying breed…. Unfortunately

Wow. This is fantastic. The pure, raw jam/recording days in houses & basements were fun times and it was a great time to be young. Reb doing James Brown and Hendrix 😂 that was so fun to watch, almost like being there. The club performances were absolutely electric. Reb Beach say's @10:20 " Solos take so much outta' me, I feel like God has come and taken my lifeforce, like I'm gonna' die a day earlier every time I play a solo..isin't that weird?". I felt that. I could tell he was being truthful. These documentaries are so interesting. Kip always about the music being just as he hears it in his mind. Genuis. A born maestro. So glad these documentaries were found and shared. Thank you!

What exactly is going on at the end there starting from 32:01? It looks like Kip is playing some kind of Indian-inspired melody on guitar, and then somebody else is strumming a single chord as rhythm guitar behind it, while John(?) and Rod do some kind of falsetto chant in harmony together. I can't tell if that's John though because of the way the camera is angled, but over the back of his head, but that's my best guess. It also seems like that clip repeats for a while, so I'm wondering if that might've been a glitch with the VHS that resulted in it playing back several times or something.

What song are they rehearsing starting from 18:18? Or is that just a rehearsal for a live jam?
@Thetarantinomaniac11 ай бұрын
"You Are the Saint, I Am the Sinner". Once John joined the band, they extended the outro of the live arrangement of it into a dual guitar solo between him and Reb, and I guess in that clip they were figuring out how they wanted to go about that.

If only they used the same approach from In The Heart Of The Young 1990. They would Need Paul Taylor to play Keyboards. That would have been awesome. Pull is still a great follow up. It just lacked Paul Taylor on Keyboards. And that's what the album Pull really needed. Why did Paul Taylor leave Winger in 1992?
