Thank you for these videos! A couple years ago I thought wingless sprints were faster because the car had to fight less air but I learned the wing holds the car down on the track harder for more grip so it’s actually faster with a wing. I also didn’t know they were an extra safety feature by making the car not roll as much, no wonder the wingless usac cars flip multiple times out of the track.

Good catch on the safety advantage the wing brings to the car. Not sure how long you have been a fan, but I grew with the term "snap roll" to describe the way a non-wing car will flip. Those snap rolls are vicious and have hurt and killed alot of drivers especially in the days before the roll cage. The wing has added years to the careers of countless drivers like Kinser, Swindell, Haudenschild and many others. As the video explains, the safety not only comes from slowing down the roll rate the wing also dissipates energy as it crushes during the flip. I've been a fan of open wheel dirt cars since the late 1950's and after all these years, there is still no better racing to me. Enjoy and here's to some dirt at the bottom of your beer cup.

Does woo regulate how the wing is oriented on the car side to side and along the front to back axis? Seems like there would be an advantage to moving the wings over to the left some and also to rotate the front of the wing to the left alittle so that the sideboards catch more air. But it looks like nobody does this. Is that because they are not allowed to do it, or is it just not helpful?

They Blaney brothers out of Ohio have the left side of the body of the wing slightly higher the the right and also the left side of the wing body slightly forward of the right.
