Tanner, As an old super modified driver from the 60's, I have some friends that lets say they have been watching your racing career develop, and all I can say at this time is to kkep your head up; keep being optimistic, even when you have a bad night, and I can tell you that it is a very good chance that you will be approached in the future about a great opportunity in the 410 sprints. Please don't ask me to elaborate, because I gave my word that I could not tell you anymore than this, but just know that they right people are watching your progress with a keen interest. I will keep in touch.

This must have been some experience for you. I grew up in Iowa and I’m 73 now. I was a teenager when I attended races at Knoxville. It was a real experience to even be in the stands. I remember watching Greg Weld, of Weld Wheels, race when I was in attendance. One race a guy showed up with a supercharged Buick Nailhead, I believe it was a 401 Nailhead. It was not a real good performing setup. Many memories from Knoxville for me. Iowa is a great state for dirt track racing. Newton, Iowa has a great track. Rusty Wallace was part owner of it. It was a concrete or asphalt track. I used to go to Newton’s dirt track in my teens. Good luck. I enjoy watching you race on You Tube. Carly is doing great also.

I'm glad you have such a great attitude after a tough night. Was watching you from section B. I had to leave at the checkered flag for an early trip, or we would have come down to meet you. Something tells me you'll be back though. Was fun watching your car come to life late in the B. You clearly learned a lot and that's really all you can ask of a driver new to that very tricky surface. Keep it up! We'd love to see you back in Iowa more.

If you were to ever relocate to the Midwest around KC, Omaha, Des Moines, you have so many options and all within a 5hr drive. Another great benefit is the fuel prices and cost of living, which you are already getting to see that while you’ve been in the area. Good luck, and safe travels

Boy I remember my first trip to the Knoxville nationals, we took a brand new car back there to compete in 1979, they were still run and non-wing shows and the fast way around was on the top. Ron Shuman won that year, if I remember correctly there was around 160 cars there. Back in the day people used to stay out in the barns, A lot of late night poker games going on, it was incredible.

Rider Racing Engine is only a couple of minutes from where I live. But based on the overheating issue, it likely an engine issue and needs to be rebuilt. Hopefully you can get the motor back, or get another 410 for races around Labor Day and the end of the 2021 season.

I don't know about all the top teams but I've heard a few drivers state that they have a "special engine" for Knoxville. I think what you said at the end is true, eventually you will have to move to the mid west in order to move your program to the next level and it would be very beneficial if a seasoned driver/team would take you under their wings. Be careful using competitors' advice. They will probably be somewhat truthful while you are struggling but once you start gaining experience and getting better they won't be so willing to be helpful and many will try to steer you in the wrong direction. I raced and crew chiefed in the 1990's, though not at the level you have achieved, and know this for a fact, but I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.
