This was a fantastic analysis, I really appreciate the extra effort you made in finding and including those interviews with the cast and crew.

This is probably my favourite film or pretty close. I have been to Berlin and seen a lot of the locations, seen the new 4K remaster, seen it over and over again and watched most of the reviews. I divide my friends into 2 groups, those who have watched it and understand and the others who havn't or don't. Going back to Berlin next spring. Good analysis i had to do the same for this film back in about 97 at uni and that's how I ended up hooked on it. Most of Wim's films have a similar feel, you either get it or you don't. I am trying to watch the full length "Until the end of the world", I don't think I'll ever manage it all in one go though, I won't lie, I really fancy Solveig Dommartin,

If you don’t mind sharing, where were you able to get a copy of Until the End of the World? I have been looking for o e with as much of the footage and any extra deleted scenes, commentaries, etc. I really wish that Criterion would put out a version.

@@carolynkepes5451 I got it off ebay during the covid debacle, it wasn't cheap, I'm sure it was new. Ironically I have covid now and my local arthouse cinema (Dukes Lancaster) is screening Perfect Days, ah well.

I love when Peter Falk is reading the script on the plane on the way to make the movie and he says to himself (something like), “I don’t understand this script at all..” I can’t help but think that is actually what he thought reading the script and that Wender decided it must be part of the movie.

Couple more transcription errors. Interesting idea that angels should also be instruments of terror, and that their [non-human] beauty and imperfect knowledge is the gateway to terror - not sure if i understood that correctly.
