This was just truly incredible. Both this and the Tomed Incident are without a doubt your most incredible works in the history of this channel. The amount of effort into the ships, lore, usage of different ships, taking content from your older videos, and showing how the relationship between the klingons and romulans developed, I know people sometimes spit at your content for being "headcanon" but this and Tomed are just too good to blow off. One could EASILY imagine these stories turned into star trek visual productions.

Balance of terror did a decent job to have both bird of prey and the Enterprise stand a equal chance against one another without signs of "plot armor". Mistakes made were costly, good planning was thought out. Leaders being competent. The only fault was on the Romulans was try to strike a killing blow on suggestion of young Romulans with no experience instead of leaving to have victory.

I'm glad it wasn't just a volley of Disruptor fire as I assumed initially lol. This made the massacre... A massacre... I bet Remans were even used during the Earth Romulan War in much the same way and were identified as not Romulan (As there were still doubts as to what Romulans looked like by 2266 by Starfleet Captains, such information couldn't be hidden for long if even a single Romulan corpse was discovered in the wreckage of a destroyed Warship). This video was a masterpiece. Possibly your best yet! Now I know why Worf despises the Romulans so zealously... And why the Romulans hate the Klingons so passionately that one of their own would rather die than "pollute" themselves with "Klingon Filth" or receive medical treatments using Worf's blood.

An event like that would force them to take some hard looks at the situation and change whatever they could to make sure it doesn't happen again. They would need to improve their energy production along with other resources, and improve their security and ship designs.

You are comparing apples to oranges there, the Romulans army prides itself on it professionalism and general skill. While the Remans are more brutal and savage in their fighting skills plus they have great night vision. It's like comparing an Roman legionnaire to a Germanic warrior from the 1st century AD.
@guillermomartinez1752
@guillermomartinez1752 Жыл бұрын
@@eddierudolph8702 but even when comparing a roman legionnaire to a germanic warrior we are able to say who was better at what. In that particular case you're comparing a soldier to a warrior, the roman being well equiped (germanic nobles would have similar kit tho) and trained to coordinate with their unit (also being quite effective as a singular unit) while the germanic warrior has no training other than experience in coordinated battles while being agressive and in the case of the germans a warrior culture that pushed them to the extreme Romulans and remans can be explored in a similar fashion, trying to understand how they fight and the tactics they may use. This could also tell us how they would fare fighting each other.

This is your best work yet, IMHO. The narration, the voice acting, the graphics- superb! The landing field battle really reminded me of the Battle for Arrakeen from David Lynch's "Dune"(which I loved). Didn't realise you patterned the Reman Night Blades after the recent Dune version of Sardaukar, but that was very neat as well(the Emperor's blades vs the finest soldiers in the Atreides army). All in all, well done! Axios! Now I'm wondering why the Romulans never broke the glass("in the event of war") and released the Remans in their fight against the Dominion, or the Klingons employing their Gorn allies to counter the Remans(or is it too much of a blow to their honour to admit that someone else is actually better and hand-to-hand combat than they are?) ;)

'While the Federation and the Klingons had been at peace for 50 years neither the Romulans nor the Klingons expected Stafleet to stick their necks out for them' man hearing that was shocking as it was mentioned by Lt. Richard Castillo the helmsman of the Enterprise C that the Federation and the Klingon Empire were in the middle of another peace treaty by the time of the Nerendra 3 battle so it made sense that the Enterprise C which was the Federation Flagship would respond to a distress call for help from a Future Federation ally and the sacrifice and deaths and destruction of the ship and it's crew led to that alliance of the Federation and the Klingon Empire as stated by Lt. Commander Data of the Battleship Enterprise D of an alternate future where the Federation and the Klingon Empire were in the middle of a decades long war 'The Klingons consider honor above all else if the crew of the Enterprise C had died defending a Klingon outpost it would be considered a meaningful act of honor by the Klingon Empire'.

I still feel you should have including the War of the Usurper from Klingon Academy, since it fits and was created from Geordie's line from TNG about the Romulans Klingons being blood enemies for 75 years or about 2292. Since Romulan actions in War of the Usurper would anger the Klingons to point of Blood Feud. The line from DS9 from the Romulan Senator to Martok about Romulans living up to their agreements. Was always believed by fandom to do with earlier conflict from TOS, that once it was clear the Organians were gone by the 2280's. That the Klingons refused to finish the war that they started, which would have had the Romulans coming on their side to help destroy the UFP. But as you mentioned, that may have been Romulan propaganda and the Senate never intended to enter the war. The other fandom reason for the attacks on Klingon colonies, starting around the attack on Narendra III. Was the Romulans posing as Starfleet ships, even using UFP style photon torpedoes rather than Romulan plasma torpedo's, to ignite a war between the two powers by the middle or late 24th Century, which happened in the Yesterdays Enterprise epo. But after Narendra III the alliance between the UFP and Empire was cemented and I would say even though the powers would war against one another from time to time. The sacrifice of the Enterprise-C made it so the UFP and Empire would always find themselves natural allies again, as the Organians had always said. The attack on Khitomer appears to have been the Romulans attempting same plan as Narendra III to simulate a UFP attack. But this again failed and led to K'Mpec now Chancellor to start a new boarder war against the Romulans. Which did successfully stop Romulan sneak attacks on Klingon colonies.

Dralath was a *murderer*; not so much insane, but truly evil; though evil itself is in and of itself quite insane- and if you follow that trajectory, you *will* go insane... it breaks you, badly. He killed his predessor for the office of Praetor, purged senators in the means of a Stalinist purge- and their families, drugged his boss, Emperor Shiarkiek, to the point that the king was in a near-constant stupor- ironically his majesty had hired him in the first place because he saw an administrative talent in Dralath- but he sure didn't double-check his findings, much to his chagrin. Well, Shiarkiek was in for a rude surprise, when Dralath tried to have his cousin, Liviana Charvenek, executed for treason for being outthought by Captain James T. Kirk in "the Enterprise Incident"; the fallout would've completely demolished the imperial family's credibility with the people, so Shiarkiek pulled some strings and had the sentence commuted or so it seems... let alone that she was his majesty's *cousin* to begin with... but Dralath really did act like a Rihannsu rendition of Comrade Stalin in a load of a lot of ways!
@chissstardestroyer
@chissstardestroyer Жыл бұрын
Based on this; I'd say that Worf would've particularly hated not so much Romulans but rather a mix of sexual impurity (hookers to be specific: sex-workers/prostitutes; women he'd classify as "traitors") and alcohol; things combined: alcohol and sex; amount to rape mix, and turning the garrison's members into practitioners in a literal *sex party* when they should be at their posts- thus they went AWOL; and hence were really liable to wind up in a penal battalion at least if they survive for being *at best* drunk on duty... these guards were playing with treason and cowardice. Now the Romulans didn't cover themselves with glory at all: acting like literal *demons*, by sowing moral corruption for a while prior to military actions for crying out loud! Course, if you read "Vulcan's Heart" you realize that Dralath's actions were really more rooted in political ambition than anything else, and remember the lady Romulan Commander in "The Enterprise Incident"; well, that novel answers some details, she too was involved in these operations; Dralath had sent D'deredix-class Warbirds to attack the Klingons in those two outposts, seven of them; that's overwhelming firepower at that, and a good part of the losses that turned Dralath's murderous campaigns back were some weird Romulan politics- yep, she showed up unauthorized in an old-model "T'Liss bird of prey" and opened fire on his assault team; destroying a few of the murderers before they completely demolished her combat strength- heroic of her, but really really a stupid chance, odds of success-wise. The warning to the menfolk assigned to guard the base is to keep themselves sober and practice prudence; had they done that: they'd have had serious fighting chance and high odds of surviving the orbital assault- perhaps even stomping it completely come to think of it! But they'd gotten hubristic, and pride is the kiss of death. However, it stands to reason that Worf would have a profound and undying hatred of lust; as that was a means for the orphaning he suffered in that undeclared war that killed his parents for one thing!

Using very WWII Japanese logic (where they apparently thought the Pearl Harbor attack / wake up slap would ultimately force the US to choose old friend Japan over an unthinkable Soviet alliance...) the Romulan logic may have been the easiest way to keep the Federation out would be the chaos of war as they wouldn't get involved. And the klingons would then default back to Romulus. The Klingons are just a loose collection of houses so its not hard to play them against each other.

Come to think of it, Mogh, why not your son; legally he'd be a small adult in terms of Klingon law, and hardly anybody would suspect a 6yr old boy to be a serious threat, anybody who does is too cowardly and filled with paranoia to be remotely sound... plus child abuse is something that'd be highly illegal in a society rooted in Chivalry standards- and a lad of that station would be very much protected by the local garrison. And the reason why Worf would be a small adult is that the son of a Klingon is a man the day he can first hold a blade, according to Klingon proverbs- and they attack him; that's really bordering on treason on their parts... a duel they might go for, but those're formal challenges and in the light of day, in the open, where everybody can see, not to assassinate a lad who's as far as you know running an errand for his parents.

Love how you portray the Romulan view that they were the aggrieved party. That they thought the alliance would see them both triumph over the Federation, only to be stabbed in the back. Really played into the hypocritical and underhanded side of the Klingons. How they boast of warrior honour but are all too willing to sell each other out when they think they can get away with it.

The nearest Federation Starship was the Excelsior Class USS Fearless. Even so - the ship was on the edge of sensor range. If I recall correctly - that's what Data and LaForge described some 20 years or so later!
