There are many things about Star Trek I would personally like to experience for real. However the whole global thermonuclear war / winter within my lifetime is one part I would prefer we just skip over and instead go straight to the interstellar exploration. 6:20 ; Given the USSF is real now. I wonder if Roddenberry ever thought such a thing would occur as a Starfleet precursor. 17:30 ; It seems that the name "Pegasus" is a rather unlucky one in Star Trek.

With this and other things like the "USS" prefix and flagships named _Enterprise_ , Roddenberry / Star Trek & the US govt. had taken "inspiration" from each other decades. In 1982 the US Air Force Space Command (precursor of USSF) was created, with an even more similar logo than the USSF. Roddenberry died in 1991. So even if he still was still alive the chances of him going for a lawsuit are slim to none.

While the series might be hit or miss in the fandom as a whole, the mirror universe episode of Enterprise referencing this moment completely blew me away when I saw it originally. I was just skipping through channels, and stumbled onto the start of it. I thought 'oh, neat, I caught the ending of First Contact' before I realized and the custom introduction played.

Think: What are we not allowed to question/criticize? That is where the propaganda war is! And that's *without* getting paranoid. If you don't mind me mentioning this, QAnon is part of this propaganda war, but they seem to be playing both sides. And they take credit for the existence of Star Trek's Q. I don't trust their "plan" one bit! As for alliances. I believe it will be determined solely based on what happens to the 3 major political parties in America (Democrat, Republican, and New Republican). The New Republican party is more or less a reformation movement to remove corruption from the Republican party and prevent it from merging with the Democrats and becoming a one-party system. If the New Republicans win-out, then we're looking at America, Israel, and possibly Russia against Iran and China (3 vs 2). If the New Republicans fail and American politics becomes a one-party system, then it will probably be America, China, and Iran against Russia and Israel. Historically, it's been Russia and Iran against America and Israel. I'm not familiar with European politics other than the EU vs Brexit thing, which I still don't know if that has concluded. So I don't really know how those alliances will fair. But I'm very certain about the Asian countries' relationships with America.

Just curious as to where you got the cloth sheet analogy for space. Was it fdrom some Star Tek source? The analogy I heard was a stretched rubber sheet with balls of various weight warping the sheet in a similar manner as space is warped (i.e. creating gravity wells).

There is one flaw with this... It was excellent. But Cochrane never left Earth's atmosphere before his Warp Flight (he hated flying and took trains) and was absolutely amazed when the Phoenix broke atmosphere. How could he be on Luna a decade earlier?

Zefram Cochran and the Vulcan Captain talk for a long time the Vulcan Captain told him a Vulcan and their history Cochran did the same for his world but unlike Vulcan Earth was having a lot of trouble and Cochran asked for help the Vulcan Captain was used to more primitive race is asking for a technology but what Cochran asked for surprise him he didn't ask for power sources weapons space flight technology he asked for food production technology he asked for environmental repair technology some parts of Earth were horribly radiated he asked if the Vulcans had the technology to restore us environment to pristine or at least livable levels the Vulcans ensured him that yes they had the technology and Vulcan was mainly a desert and they can turn Earth's deserts into farms the Vulcan Captain did some calculations and he told Cochran that they could turn 80% of the Sahara into a farm within 5 years and that would provide more than half of the world's food production the Australian desert and the other deserts these lands always forsaken was going to feed the world with walking technology within 10 years 100 walking ships it came to Earth where the first year they brought nothing but emergency supplies Vulcan generators provided power now the former government came out of their bunkers and for a while it looked like there might be a war between the former governments the valkans and the people that stayed on the surface but cooler heads prevailed and they established a United Nations top organization of provisional government with the Vulcans as advisors the Vulcans will quickly invited to join the security council and they their advice was always taken and heated for over 100 years any idea that the Vulcans give or any suggestion was always listen to and always implemented almost 90% of the time the broken beaten children of man saw the Balkans as their saviors to the common people that didn't trust the government anymore they saw the Vulcans as an alternative some people thought no we won't be ruled over by aliens there was some terrorists but that was quickly squashed most people when they seem to Vulcans providing the cures for horrible diseases cleaning up the Earth's environment feeding the population rebuilding the cities saw them as a godsend they were brothers to man some related to Vulcan appearance to ancient myths of elves

I dont think that the Super Nova of the Star Hobos is canon, because in All Good Things... (Star Trek: The Next Generation), we find out, that the Romulan Empire was conquered by the Klingons and heard nothing about it being destroyed by a super nova.
