Another excellent episode. The acting was absolutely superb. Thank you for posting this series.

The acting is terrific -- Nicholas Jones (Capt. Triggers) was in the Royal Shakespeare Company. And here in the U.S. at the same time, we had The Partridge Family. :(

My Grandfaher flew with No3 Squadron AFC at Bertangles in France. I would love to have him been alive to see this series, and receive his opinion compared to his service.. He only sustained damage on one occasion when, on 4.11.1917, (from his logbook) "lost in Fog, landed to find way, piece of stone fence broke prop, flew machine (a BE)back on 5/11". At that time he had flown 39 hours, 7.30 solo.His only crash was on 20/12/17 "crashed owing to heavy fog" flying an RE8. No mention of stunting or spin training in his logbook.

At about 36:50 I was yelling at the screen NO! STICK FULLY FORWARD, NOT BACK!" No wonder he crashed!
@michaelbailey87296 ай бұрын
You were right. He was nose high at first so the nose needed lowering to regain airspeed but then he got too low to clear the trees. The command then should of been "power on" to climb.

for all those who might try base on this episodes incorrect advice on how to escape a spin, the correct procedure is:full reverse rudder to stop rotationpush forward on stick to break stalllevel the wings and pull back on stick to leave resultant divepower on full as nose passes through horizon
@benters35094 жыл бұрын
No, sorry. Stick fully forward. Add throttle when she comes out, and level off when you have adequate airspeed. Always worked for me.
@moonpawooe71346 ай бұрын
No shift rudder horizontal pull flaps up and starboard and flip rudder to port
@michaelbailey87296 ай бұрын
The way I was taught was stick forward, (power off to prevent Vne), opposite rudder, when rotation stops centralise rudder and raise nose gently. As the nose come up beyond the horizon and airspeed drops add full power and trim into climb. Then level off. Lower nose, reduce power and trim for level flight.

34.00 That wasn't a spin, it was spiral dive. A proper spin is much flatter, like a falling leaf and much more dangerous.

No, no he has nowhere to go, that is what's up, and in a family where that is the system. He created his story, one would say, to be the person who stepped out of the family system of non-owning and dishonesty emotionally, to open a new door and awareness for that family to heal itself. Etc.
