Grey butcherbird is definitely one of my favourites in terms of hunting powers, just the fact it gets a tuck and a cache even if it's one of the more difficult ones to hit.

The mockingbird would've been a better play, u could've double up on raven to get woodduck down for extra card and had more nectar in wetlands, but still squeaking out a win helps, they need to fix teal tucks to count for snow bunting trigger too

Pink powers don't trigger from teals because between the end of the round and the start of the next round, the same player goes twice. So either it is still your turn or it is between their turns, and the pink power can't activate. That's how I understand it at least

Butcherbird performed well here but I don’t really get the love for it. From an expected value standpoint, isn’t it just a more expensive Peregrine Falcon?

I think you should have played wood duck and mockingbird in the forest back to back. Pivoted in round 3 to a couple of draws in forest. Seen a lot more cards and maybe gotten some more good stuff…or maybe mockingbird in grasslands. I still think wood duck in forest was a good move even with that

I was torn on that too. That would let you run the forest engine a little but it’s 0 points every time.
